Dude, I mostly agree with you on how the people in this server should have handled the situation. But this thread has quickly gone from crap to total shit and honestly you're mostly to blame. Just stop posting here, it's getting to be too much. You aren't the only one, but definitely the majority... just tone it down a bit, eh? (Trying to be friendly) [editline]12th March 2014[/editline] Hippo, you aren't helping either lol.
I agree I'm not really helping haha. Sorry folks. Except Back Stabbath. I'll see you online
Groups make the game. There I fixed the topic for you  A group of 15 is a tad excessive, but I ended up with a group of seven on our recent server. We didn't always go around attempting to kill everyone and often we would let the lone wolf run away as long as they did not shoot or paid some minor tribute, but it was a ton of fun to get into fights with the other large groups on the server. Some of the players who tried to shoot at us as a lone wolf would whine but that is what they get for trying to engage a group. Otherwise this game is a great social game and it gets tiring to see people with poor social skills constantly whining that other people have figured that out.
I totally agree with you. Groups of 3~6 is already so much. More than that it's not even fun IMO. Playing alone sucks but with a few friends it gets awesome. I just wish everyone thought like that. Anyway, as the game is based on servers created by people, it's easy to state the max number of people that can play together if an Admin wants.... Just wish there was some kind of filter in-game to find servers with a name that contains, i.e., "max 5 player groups", just saying.
it's easy to state the max number of people that can play together if an Admin wants....
This is true, but the problem is that it's very very difficult to actually uphold that kind of rule. Besides, the larger a group gets the more likely that one or more of those people is a rogue and will eventually fuck the group over... Sweet, sweet justice.
The way I see it is you've got bullies and good/helpful people. The bullies can do things which they wouldn't be able to get away with in real life, in a game. They can abuse power, act a fool and have no consideration for anyone else. Every group of 3 or more you see traveling together are bandits up to no good. You can generally tell by their voice the kind of person they are. The homes which have survived the longest have been way out, quite a travelling distance to the resources. But at least you probably won't get raided daily. DayZ developers wanted to give people an incentive to help people, instead of killing on sight. In Rust, there's only benefits for killing people, and no drawbacks. You get the loot, resources, stop others advancing and are able to be nasty.
