Forum is very messy, not professional. - Rust

No, but seriously, this forum is the most ban-happy forum I think I've ever been on. Hey, at least it's usually a temporary ban, right? Also, it's not exactly hard to figure out how to avoid getting banned: 1.) Be very specific in your subject. 2.) Don't post meme responses - you're playing with fire. 3.) Don't be an ass. 4.) Stay on topic. 5.) Actually post stuff in the appropriate forum. 6.) Don't rail against the fact that the forum is ban-happy - it is, it has been for a while, deal with it. Case in point.

The rule of just about every forum: Be awesome. Be positive. Be professional. Be lighthearted. Get over things. Don't take anything too seriously. I mean, even with some of the forums I moderate, all people do is complain. At least it's a timed ban, not a "Oh you're a tard -bans for life-" And managing a bunch of fools who need babysitting is almost as irritating as the posters themselves. Especially since there are a lot of them who need to be "let off with a warning". It's a simple concept to me. Then again, nobody knows the true love for a banhammer until they wield one in each limb and orifice. ;D So. LET THE MIGHTY BANHAMMER OF JUSTICE SWING FREELY!

What I have noticed is that you see a lot of bans on Americans. Maybe its because a majority are younger and don't follow rules? My other account was banned yesterday because of an accurate and appropriate meme for a situation I was in the middle of. Which we made at the time which is allowed! It was on a debate about how VAC cant at this time secure a 64bit game and PB is better :words:. You know a Pepsi & Coke argument. Unless you made the meme yourself (100% yourself) and it was totally relevant and not complete shit, you get banned for it. No exceptions. The tight banning here certainly helps shape you to be a better poster. Going to other forums (barring technical forums, things aimed at more complex things) is painful due to the shit tier quality of posting and the almost wild west manner in which users can chat all kinds of dumb shit and completely derail topics. Only a few forums outban Facepunch, and I think SA might be one of the few remaining.

Look, just take it from me. I have an [I]extensive[/I] ban history. I was a little shit and I still can be sometimes. You're better off just following the rules and not getting banned - and if you do find yourself banned, just learn from the mistakes. I know you're all probably like 6 years old but you can at least try to poop in the toilet with the big boys.
