• Should Rust go caveman style, or modern?

I'd like the mix we have to stay the same balance-wise, but with more broad options for each, expand on the steps between wooden shotgun and m4 rifle. Way more variety for rusty weapons, maybe a couple more modern weapons for variety, and a clear, obvoius middle ground weapons tier between the existing 2. Other than that, I love the direction the game is heading in. I'd also like to see more stuff for survival elements, exposure debuffs, disease, weather, more wildlife, but all in due time.
Aside for ammo being sparser, I think a jacket would be a good thing for someone to wear when it's cold.
At least thematically, it would be cool if they gave everything at least caveman-esque textures.
Still trying to look for none military only server. Sick of people spamming the fire button firing from the hip with insane accuracy, wish they would nerf the hip firing!
The hip firing doesnt exist, really. Hip firing and aim down sights gives you the same amount of accuracy. I hate that people put dots on their screens and other crap like that, but adding randomness to the hipfiring would be worse, cause you'll go into a fight with someone with awful aim who will hit lucky headshots, and ultimately it would encourage spraying and praying in close quaters combat.
It'd be nice if they would throw in a random city or two. Not just random buildings, opening up more treasure, potential PVP areas (rather than going around picking fights), and possibly re-introduce zombies :D?!?
What I'd like to see is a really extended and slow progression. Starting out as caveman, then it being around 2 weeks before anyone hits any military weapons at all (and it still being limited and slowly progressing to where people can build up to M4 eventually), then progressing even further, etc.
I think the game should go for a little bit of both depending of your progression in the game.
Why don't we let the dev's use their imagination and turn the game into whatever they want? Instead of focusing on a single theme, try making your own theme, mix of modern guns, caveman styled guns, etc. it would be really original to see a game have it's own path, something no other game has done before. I'm sure whatever the dev's come up with, we'll be happy with it.

Something as large and imposing as an abandoned city would really add some depth to the game.
