• It's not a freaking raid if you do it while everyone is offline.
Yea, somehow people just don't like to lost all their belongings while they can't defend for it. It's like losing all you get from a long game play and just lost all of them in a few minutes. I think it was good for beginner or newly started player in the server.
yeah and it sucks when you come home from a vacation or a night out to see your door bashed in and all your valuables stolen, but it happens. If/When it happens to me, I'm ok with it as I still retain my skills that I researched and can get most of it back quickly by getting wood, animals, rocks/ore. It's only when I have something taken that I didn't get to research that can be annoying, which is why researching is one of the first things I do. It's sort of an insurance policy.
Please lock this useless thread or move it to debates. Created a account and this is not a bump, it's seriously first. Guy is just lollertrolling now.
Its up to people how to do their raids, some playing it safe, waiting for the target goes offline and start raiding/burglaring whatever you wanted to defines it, yes it is boring but from strategic point of view those are the most resource friendly strategy some like to play it hard for the action (like me and my friend) we even announced 1st if we ar going to attack someone so their group can manage defense, and it become a friendly competetive between attacker and defender, its fun IMHO in the end, its up to the player what they wanna do, this is Rust afterall, there are no moral code to dictate what you wanna do, except hacking or cheating though
I don't know why but people in Rust use this word "Raid" when they destroy a base with C4. 1 If you're killing players inside a base you're raiding 2 If you're destroying an empty base with C4 you're griefing 3 If you're doing both things you're raiding
There are too many threads like this. It's a waste of time ranting over definitions, people will continue to "misuse" terms regardless. Rust is an unforgiving game, you got raided. Get over it.

So does the girl have to be present for it to be a panty raid?
I call it "involuntary property transfer".
Their sleeping bodies are on the floor, so they are definitely present, with their weapons. They just had nonexistent reaction time. It was still a raid.

They've done more than beat that dead horse. They've mashed and stomped it, tried to stand it back up, ride it, but found they should just box it, wrap it, and beat it some more. It's really amazing that it's gone on this long. Kinda funny and pointless. It's an argument of whether or not it's an acceptable practice or not. It is what it is and it's easy, cheap, and rewarding. AND doesn't take long to get good at. Remember though, check behind those boxes for the hidden stashes. They didn't get my best stuff the other day and it basically was a waste of 3 c4 for them. HA! I call it being raided, cause we all do, just because.
