I'll try it on my laptop tonight I bet it won't even run that great and it's a 1800$ asus gaming laptop ... laptops cannot compare to desktops and this game is surprisingly hard on a machine as it is not optimized very well takes a lot of ram and has a memory leak lol you won't be happy with that laptop I'm sure mine will run it fine but it is like 4 times the machine that one you posted is [editline]11th November 2015[/editline]
;49098056']Used to be true. Not true anymore. I have a laptop with similar specs to my desktop and i get the same performance in all games on both. I've been building computers for 25 years now, this ain't just "mr know it all" pretention. One thing I will say though, the laptop NEEDS to be plugged and it sounds like a vacuum cleaner while gaming. So yeah desktop wins but performance wise there is little to no diff.
Haha my laptop is a year and a half newer than my desktop and my desktop will eat it
Haha my laptop is a year and a half newer than my desktop and my desktop will eat it
For argument's sake, specs on both? My laptop has a better cpu and faster ssd setup than my desktop and thats about the only diff... And the laptop is faster.
So the reason I went with a laptop in the first place was because of my stubborn dad. I have been begging for a desktop, and he refuses. We've only ever had laptops in our family since the windows 98 and well, he has never gone back. I have told him time and time again that desktops are superior. He doesn't know much about computers and their specs, and doesn't know the difference between a operating system and a CPU. Anyways, I told him about the 500 dollar computer, and told him that if we get it refurbished we could get it for 350-450 dollars. He told me no. He then took me to a thrift computer repair place and he picked out this piece of shit. And for some reason it only had Windows 7 instead of Windows 8 and it lags on fucking Youtube. I'm sorry guys, but I tried. R.I.P my hopes and dreams of ever running anything ever.
I'm sure it will run CS:GO at least on high.
[Rant] Wait wait wait... Your saying this can run a CS:GO on high? My fucking shit ass school MacBook Air runs CS:GO Maxed at 50-70fps. Bro, a if q fucking potato like my school Mac can run a CS:GO then "It can run CS:GO!" isn't even an argument worth anyone's time. [/Rant] [editline]12th November 2015[/editline] That said I will confirm that I do have a desktop with a 4th Gen i7 and a GTX 980 in it so I rarely even consider playing on that Mac.
My laptop runs rust on max settings smooth Fraps wouldn't show for some reason

That craptop is a disaster for 200 dollars 😲

FIVE DOLLARS!!! THAT'S A LOT OF MONEY!!! I know it's less than minimum wage, but still. If I work for 2 hours a day, in 40 days that will be 400 dollars...:joy: That's before Christmas...WHOOP WHOOP!!!
Buy a PSVita and a Smartphone and you can play games n shit. Do never buy a Laptop for gaming, unless you are rich.
20-25+ FPS could run Rust on Simple+ graphics settings
Buy a PSVita and a Smartphone and you can play games n shit. Do never buy a Laptop for gaming, unless you are rich.
Noticed you are German. That's not the case over here, can get a good performing gaming laptop for like $800 that can rival a console. That's pretty good value for something you can easily throw in your backpack and not only game on. Desktops are better but I do take my laptop to LANs/business trips. You would pay a shit ton for a gaming laptop in Europe though which kinda sucks.

[editline]13th November 2015[/editline]
Crap. That CPU is a dual-core 2.2GHz CPU in Intel's ultra-low power line. That's not a gaming laptop by any means. There's a reason it's priced how it is. It'll do fine for web browsing, YouTube, etc., but I wouldn't buy that for any gaming more intense than Bejeweled.
TBH as far as I know Rust only uses one core/thread. And at 2 cores this is basically half a desktop i7. This might even be a better CPU than my i7 for gaming if it's not hyper threaded. My i7 runs at 4.4GHz with 4 cores 8 threads. That i5 runs at 2.2GHz with 2 cores. You do the math. Also GPUs rarely get bottlenecked by CPUs these days so really I see nothing wrong with this laptop and I'd say it's a decent option if a laptop is all he can get atm.

i suggest this one it runs rust smoother than ever http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-18/pd?oc=dkcwx04b&model_id=alienware-18
Holy shit you know nothing about computers
And I guess that mean you do? Both CPUs are clocked at 1.1GHz per core, just as an i7 my CPU's cores are spit further into threads.
Each core runs at that speed.... ffs also there is more to it than just frequency there is cache size fsb architecture etc etc etc ...
Ugh whatever I'm not gonna turn this thread into an argument. I was saying my CPU is clocked at double the speed of that processor but was halved back to 2.2GHz by the fact that each core was responsible for 2 processes or 'threads'

Both processes won't be able to run at the full speed of the core at the same time.
