Because it's being made by a few Facepunch devs. I know Helk and Pat are in charge but Max and Garry also are taking part in the project. And Garry is funding it too of course.

If your chat bugs go to your menu where are crafting etc, press chat and then move the chat with your cursor, that should do it.

It's getting pretty ridiculous. My searches turned up nothing recent that could have brought in a huge influx of new members. Everything is at least a few days old.

Try clearing your cookies/cache and try again. If that doesn't work I would try another web browser... yeah I know it's pretty annoying, and you aren't the only person getting this issue.
I'm stopped at "Connecting To Server". Did it just go down for anyone else?

This seems like a noobish question and i know it keeps getting answered all over facepunch, all of them are different so might as well ask you guys. When will be the next possible time i could try out rust? or is it completely random when they start to give out keys? thanks

Can't connect, something is fucked.
If you cannot connect to the server check the events tab and check the time of the last event.
Odds on if it was a while back the server is down.

People are playing on the server. You just can't connect once you DC and the Events don't update.
Aww, got disconnected along with everyone else in the mumble, and now it's like a quasi-rollback, as in our houses haven't been touched, but our inventories got reset, and the stuff in campfires/storage boxes are still there.
Does anyone know how people slowly create accounts? Last time I checked under 13,000 users now 13,016

From what I'm hearing everything is down and if you get dc'd you can't get back in. Something has to be broken here... is anyone able to get back in yet?
