It will look that detailed in game, it will look worse though due to the more simpler lighting (for now)

On a serious note, did you use the same skeleton as the current models? More importantly, will clothes show in first person?
Those are the new arms made by Tom, so the skeleton isn't the same. Clothes will eventually show in first person (not the whole body yet though, that's a technically complicated detail)
So that mean you need to redo all the animations... Well, If you can make animation at the same level of quality for weapons, I guess this isn't a bad thing!
Seriously, at the current stage, rust look average at most, but I can see it becoming better and better in the near future.
First off, being able to recognize the type of weapon someone is carrying, and the gear he's wearing will be a huge gameplay changer. People will actually need to be careful when dealing with others, but also be able to tell if someone is a threat or not.
Then, if you guy decide to go to that direction, primitive survival stuff seem really cool, with hitting stuff with a rock.
Also, a final question, any plan on making building a base/village worthwhile in the future?
Aka: advanced crafting abilities(Workbenches return anyone?), ect..

I think they should wipe the map, map is full of giant abandoned buildings that causes alot of lag.

I really hate wipes but something has to be done about the large buildings, planks get duped and they build these giant useless rectangle buildings reaching super high. If you walk into areas with these buildings you crash, if you spawn in an area with these buildings you crash. Add a building limit or delete the shit.
Maybe we should be fixing the crashes instead of side-stepping them by wiping every time someone builds something that causes people to crash?
I don't play the game so I don't know if it is implemented already, why don't you make the building materials erode at different rates ? Wood will be the fastest to erode? Or is there a program you could make for when a place has been built or a foundation has been put down and it can recorded its activity steps or something and if there's no activity (walking around or player presence on the foundation) it just simply deletes its self ? If you catch my drift

(We keep the current metal door for the tier of building after this one)

There's a lot of ways to solve the problem. Like I keep saying, ideally we'd give players the tools to solve the problems. For examples, being able to de-construct someone's building and take all the resources.. but we'd only really be able to do that once we have other security systems in place - so that players can't just remove a wall and gain entry to your house.
Maybe for a more realistic approach we could craft locks onto doors, and unlocked doors can be taken down
