Seems like they've just been progressing and fixing stuff along the way (we were able to see a lot more on the website last night), so however long it takes to finish and polish up pretty much.

Based on long it's been I think it's safe to say they're operating on Valve time. ;) Be patient.

Games that are done without the intention of profit first, are a labor of love usually and therefore cared for more and ultimately produce a better game. This is provided that the devs have the skill to do so, but from what I've seen this has the potential to be an incredible game if it's worked on consistently.
