As long as I source everything there really shouldn't be any issues. It's free advertising, more or less really.

If somebody writes a song in appreaciation of something they like and use official artwork/branding as a cover for a youtube video then it falls under fair use. And why would a publisher or developer get bent out of shape over a fan showing their appreciation through music? I don't think I've ever seen a copyright holder strike down fan work for referencing the content. It's arbitrary and builds a bad consumer relationship. If I remix a deadmau5 song for shits and giggles and use the mau5head as part of my cover art and release the song for free, is Ultra Records gonna come banging down my door with a copyright claim? No, it happense all the time and there is nothing wrong with that unless it's being sold for profit. Sorry about the rant guys... im done talking about this now. Back to Rust. The sign up page may not be up. If you don't have a key, you won't be able to get one (most likely anyway).
