Is there a server side steam update from this morning's client patch?
Things are still wonky as hell, but I'd rather not break it worse. Has anyone tried the steam update on FPS?

Yes, there was a patch. Both client and server side. They added a dump server side to cut the freezing down a little, and client side now has a 3rd party anti-cheat along with Facepunch!
1.6.2:
- Added error tags to many try-catches (Debug wise).
- Fixed chat for Rusty (Shows global, direct, and faction chats).
- Fixed a lot of faction issues.
- Fixed alliances not saving.
- Fixed safezones and warzones (should be less laggy and should work on servers with a ton of players)
- Added /removeall (Removes the structure you shoot and those connected).
- Fixed people with permission to /f being able to use /f safezone, warzone, and build.
- Fixed requestCooldown not parsing correctly once above a certain number.
- Fixed loot tables not loading correctly.
- Fixed warps not working when assigned to ranks.
- Fixed warps not inheriting correctly.
- Fixed the damage modifiers not accepting decimals.
- Fixed dying to animals causing HUGE, spamming errors.
- Doing /i, /give, or /kit when an item is a piece of armor will automatically equip the piece of armor if that armor slot is not already taken.
- Fixed possibilities of errors when users join or leave.
- Fixed teleporting to players putting you through ceilings or floors (now only happens 10% of the time).
- Fixed the ownership tool sometimes causing lag.
- Made the default chat global.
- Fixed all the errors with AI (Including HS #1)
- Fixed all the messages with healing, feeding, and the such.
- Updated to latest rust update
Note: Sorry to all the GSPs for the infinite tickets you've been getting because of my shit, I really do mean to apologize. This update has fixed all crashes for my 3 servers that usually always crashed, so the problem should be fixed for others too.

Updated @ Streamline Servers.
Also not a worry @mistad keep up the development
Ohh Thanks so much for new version... the error in cosnole shutdown my server in 10min-6hour... Thanks :)

I think within the last 5 days, Mistad and myself have went nearly bald pulling our hair out over the constant errors, and non stop bugs that we couldn't figure out. Come to find out in the end, it was a bugged update for Rust, and things are perfect now. Wish we knew this back starting Tuesday. Would have saved a few sleepless nights, and about $80 in coffee. :-)
FPS has updated.
Mack or Mista, Should I do a fresh configuration or can I use my cfg files from 1.6.1?
1.6.2 is working really well. Thanks!

You should be fine, just add /removeall to a rank.
Thank you for update

As long as these are not under default, they will not have access to them. They can see the commands in the /help but they will not be able to use them

my problem is this - i want to give some /f commands to default class - however, they cannot use any /f command without having the "/f" by itself, but give the "/f" and they can do every /f command. i have tested this on myself while assigning myself to the default class and ensuring not signed in as admin.

This was fixed in the patch that just came out. (at least should have been) If you leave /f under default, they can use the faction parts. As long as "Safezone, warzone, build zone" are under Moderator or higher, they will not have access to those. We've tested this all day today and it worked as it should have. Make sure you're updated to the latest patch and lemme know if this works or not.

You'd have to do the long CD on it, but.... I don't remember if it resets if the server restarts. I've gotta test that. I don't have any kits with large CDs and never thought to test it. When I get on, I will check it.

I'm still getting intermittent restarts and having the server go unresponsive after about an hour.
FPS server w/ fresh installs after the steam update. I'll try to get an error image to post, but it's not letting me copy the data at the moment.

Yea, if you can get the Server logs, it would be great, or if you have Rusty along w/RCon password, you should be able to see them there also. I've been on this version for almost 24 hours w/o a single error. :-(
ALSO, did you do yesterdays update? (just wondering, as I had almost missed it myself)
Nitrous Networks has updated to version 1.6.2
For now, I got no errors with this version.
Thanks for the great Mod.

Rusty is where i'm having trouble getting the error copied.
I uninstalled the planet, ran the steam update, re-installed cpunch, leather and essentials (in that order) and then added my old cfg files after the initial restart. Mistad said he didn't think using the old cfg files would be an issue. Maybe it is?

The old config files are fine. Just have to add "/remove all" to the commands.ini. its like remove tool, but removes the whole building, not just a single item. Also, we noticed there may be a bug with nudity command. Try disabling it if it's enabled (found in the config file)

I'll have Mista look at this when he gets a chance. I received a similar error today when enabling a command, and can't pinpoint it. Also, this RUST patch they did yesterday seems extremely buggy to me. I'm getting more freeze ups and odd happenings than before it came out. *sigh* hopefully he comes out with the big patch, and the bigger fix for the freeze ups he was discussing. (Garry that is)
