Is there a way to autokick / autoban players who have vac bans on there account? I personally don't want to deal with the headache of a possible cheater on the server even if it was from another game. IF the mod can't do it is there another way to set this up by chance. Thx.
i installed rust essentials and i can not get it to work at all when i type something nothing happens did i do something wrong when i installed? i just extracted file like it said and replaced to files and added one? i am not sure what the problem is this is also a fresh bmrf server
Great mod... would love to be able to use it along with Oxide so I can run other things on top of it...
Suggested features:
Timed bans/mutes (so you can type something like /ban *name* #time# (/ban noob 1440) to ban someone for the given amount of time.

Did you try to remove your info from the owner/admin rank. Not sure if this would make a difference but maybe with your info there it bypasses the whitelist requirement.
I'm sorry for not responding to all of your questions lately guys. I've been really busy with homework and tests recently - especially this week. I'm well aware of the March 18th update and I am working hard to push towards 1.7.0. I promise it will be well worth the wait though! Once again, I apologize for the wait.

As long as you don't update the server 1.6.3 is still working and ppl can login to the server. Just wait for RE to update before updating your server.

So the MOTD has the "Cycle" and "Once" tabs in it. I get how the "Cycle" works but simply repeating after the amount of time that si set. Does the "Once" work the same way or is it simply something that is done one time then not again until the server restart? What I'm trying to do is setup hourly airdrops for the server. I added a new "Cycle" message but not sure if that will work as there is 2 already there. Below is what I have setup atm, just want to make sure if I'm doing this correct or not...

I've been thinking about using Essentials on my server, but I have two questions. I understand faction chat channels, but how does the direct channel work? Is it where only two people join a channel? Second question (technically third, I know), any chance of a pm system if the direct chan thing doesn't work like I think it does? Maybe even customizable command, like changing it to /msg or /w.
Direct chat works like voice. Only players in a certain radius will receive your chat.
Unless I understood the second part wrong, you can use /pm <name> <message>

You're right, [Once] messages only shoot once and then close until the next restart.
In order to have airdrops per 1 hour, change what you have for [Cycle.1h] to this:

Direct channel is like the direct channel in the ArmA series. If a player enters /chan d - entering the direct channel - words typed into chat will only be seen by players within a set distance of the sender. Example:

Also, I know the chat command list is extremely long so I realize it's difficult to spot some commands. However, /pm <name> *message* can be used to send private messages to players. Note that names can be partials and are case sensitive. If a name contains a space and you want to include the space in their name, use quotes. Examples:

Also guys, no word on the update yet; hopefully soon though. I had two tests today, the 20th, three quizzes the day before and then I have another test tomorrow, the 21st. Then I have to practice three different concertos (musical pieces) for the next soloist competition (yes, fun fact: I play the clarinet). I also got invited to a National Merit/SAT (highschool exam to get into colleges... basically) club that usually have graduating members boosting their PSAT (Pre-SAT) scores from like 160-180 up to 215-240 (the max score is 240). Finally, I also got invited to the National Honor Society. As you can tell, I have a lot going on and it's caught me at a terrible time. Have patience with me like I do with you.
Talk to you all another day, hopefully on release day and hopefully soon (hint hint?).
Any ETA? Some of the players in my server can't even get out of their houses, because they used /share command with the doors..

For the time I'd say to tell the door owners to just use the doorcode. Least ppl will be able to get in and out.

Hello Guys maybe one of you had the same problem as soon as i put in my steam id as owner the game turns night and every command that i use doesnt change it to day i see it tell me that it turns to day but nothing realy happens ?
Could some one help me out on this one ?!

I had the same problem.
I fixed it by uninstalling Essentials and installing Rust++.
Its sad because I like essentials.
But the devs are busy and cant get it updated. (Not complaining, I understand everyone has a life )
