I find I get this alot worse when its been a while since I have performed a wipe and the server has lots of shit to load up or save, I usualy use this as an indicator that it is almost time to do another wipe. If it is bugging you leave a request with details in the bug reports trello. I can see there are some reports about the airdrop system but that Mistad was waiting for someone to test, this was a while back so I am not sure if that happened: https://trello.com/c/2kcMF9ff/2-bug-reports-comment-freely-inside
Everytime I restart or shutdown my server, all the stuff disappear, metal houses, sleeping bags, etc. Can you help me please? Sounds like you are saying that is was occuring beforehand but installing the mod still makes it happen... I have never seen this before. According to what you are saying, everything is lost after you restart your server, do you mean like, Everything as in the server goes back to baseline, including players items and all that? that sounds like an issue with your server or its having issues loading up the save file. This may be one for your GSP. Can you provide any error messages in the console or anything like that? Here is the link to the troubleshooting section of the Wikia. There are a number of questions in there that if answered for us we may be able to help more, can you guys answer those and Ill take another pass when I get off work: http://wiki.rustessentials.com/index.php?title=Main_Page
Updated your server onto the main post @blizz3010. Removed Rokit.sot's server because it was closed :(.

I've configure the autosave and save all in my server but if restart or shutdown the server I lost everything, buildings, items inside inventory and as you have said, everything goes back to baseline. I was checking the FTP files and I have seen that everytime I restart the server a new save file is being created.

You could probably test by building something, shut the server down and take a full save then try and then do a full restore. If it doesn't work and you cant see the building you made you know that the save system is busted. Definitely raise a ticket with your GSP on this one, this isn't mod related.

Looking for someone that can help me with files to create a Hunger Games game inside my server. I want to be-able to spectate the games for obvious reasons. I'd like it if i could type /invitehungergames and if ppl wanted to play they could type /joinhungergames. By them typing /joinhungergames they would get teleported into a holding cell with the rest of the competitors, when i have x amount of players i'd type /starthungergames and theyd get randomly spawned with in the arenas coordinates. If this is possible i'd really like some help. Thanks in advance. My server is a fresh server with like 4 ppl that come and go so i'd like to draw ppl to my server by doing something different. I'd also like to do a trading post area. where ppl could teleport to the trading post and then teleport back to their house. This would prevent Trading post campers.

Large update of the new Wiki to add in many new 1.8.0 features. Note that some are still in the process of being populated but many new Articles are complete. Check the New RustEssentials Features Category as all new Articles will now show here as well as their appropriate Category/Section. If anyone has a request for a certain Article that is not completed yet, get me here or in the RustEssentials Forums I will hopefully have it 100% completed in the next few nights. Hey guys, I've recently installed Rust Essentials 1.8.1 and it works 100% fine. However, Commands like /online and /players only seem to work if you're an assigned rank. For the default players, when they type /online or /players it says they don't have permissions. Help on this would be appreciated as I couldn't find any posts to this issue... Maybe it's just me? (I have installed this FRESH several times!) Cheers guys! ^_^

Do you have the commands you need the players to use under the [Default] rank of the commands.ini file? Sounds to me like you may have the commands you expect your standard players to have in some of the ranks above default - which they wont get unless they are added under that rank. let me know or post a copy of your command.ini file up here so we can take a look Here is a bit of info about how ranks work in RustEssentials. Awesome work on the new update I love it. But I am wondering if someone can tell me what i am doing wrong with one of my kits. I only want it to be able to be claimed once. when I do this is tells people they received it but they get no items. [Builder] cooldown=1 Wood Planks:500 Metal Door:5 Furnace:1 Large Wood Storage:3 Bed:1 Metal Fragments:200 Wood:250 Workbench:1 If I change the cool down to 6h or anything different it works, if I put 9000h it will not work. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I only want it claimed once.
To make kits have an infinite cooldown, or make it one time use, the cooldown needs to be -1 (as stated in the change log and kits.ini notes) and not 1. The reason why 6h works is because h represents hours. You need to have a time type for cooldown unless it is infinite.

FYI for those of you not yet in the new forums, 1.8.2 has been released as well as the RustEssentialsAPI 1.0.0. Head on over to the RustEssentials Forums for more information on both of these.
1.8.2: - Click here. 1.8.3: - Fixed bugs with paths.ini. - Added a check for addArmorThroughKit to stop the method if the inventory is null. - Fixed /time unfreeze resetting the day and night length to the detail values. They will now reset back to the values in the config.ini. - Fixed bettyDeathDeleteItems causing any type of death to delete dropped items. - Removed the debug messages that were appearing when a user mined a resource.m
Forgot to make a post about the 1.8.2, so I'll include both 1.8.2 and 1.8.3 in this one.
damn, need to consider installing Rust Essentials now that there is an API ;)
Sorry if i didn't see it but, is there a way to change it to /home instead of /warp ? If i can't change it to /home instead, at least want to be able to limit the amount of /warps a regular player on the server can set. Also a way to limit /home to players? I'm wanting to allow members to set just 1 home and that's it. Sorry if this has been answered, so many pages of comments and was just too hard to narrow down in the search box.

For those peeps running a Rust Legacy server from (home PC/personal hosted server/non GSP) and had issues installing 1.8.3, a hotfix has been identified for the current 1.8.3 files which will allow you to install RustEssentials. Check the RustEssentials Forum post here. Note that the issue will be permanently fixed when RustEssentials 1.8.4 is released very soon. Any issues or feedback please post in the thread over there and let us know how you get on.. Note - If you are trying to install RustEssentials for the first time, follow the steps here first as it does work for some people. If you run into the issue then employ the hotfix mentioned in the link above. Edit - Cleaned up wording
For those peeps running a Legacy server @ home ... on your home server. ... on your home hosted Legacy server
wait. people run servers.. at home? is that a thing? I tried to get Essentials to run on a test legacy server on my root server (no, not at home, in a proper data center with proper internet and shit) and it didn't work because of the System.Data.dll even tho I have installed .NET on wine and moved the dll to all relevant folders... I wanted to try and install this hotfix but you know what really annoys the heck out of me?
You must be logged-in to do that.
Do I really need to create a f*cking account I will never *ever* use again just to download this one DLL? Please upload it somewhere where you can wget it! edit: fffff..... the original Essentials 1.8.3 is located on cdn.pwnoz0r.com please put this hotfix on there too! edit2: I've tried the hotfix on linux and it works very well, RustEssentials is now loading correctly. Debian 7 64bit.
