Every few weeks, people come to the Rust Forums complaining about issues with the official servers. Ironically enough, a week or two ago this was the Seattle server in the US.
We've already explained what the issue is. This isn't something that happens to just the Brazillian official server. The developers often test on the official servers, perhaps stuff like stress testing. That could explain why the connection is so bad for you currently.

We know they could be testing sumthing... or NOT... this could be a DDoS attack... who know's? That's what we want.. a little and solid explanation... AND... Community server ARE more stable, that's true... BUT... they can be shutted down anytime owner wants too... isn't? But I understand your point of view.. your are more polite at least....
The developers have already said that they're testing on the official servers, and that they're planning to improve them soon.
I'm sure that if something like a DDOS happened, that they would notify people of it.

I'm almost sure it's a DDoS man... ppl are already announcing attacks... (dunno if they're real or not)... for example... community server's owners... are paying real cash for "hackers" attack the "competition"... can you beleive that? So, I'm really sure they can be attacking Official Servers to haunt players... cuz some "Community" Server are making some profit of it... selling VIP memberships to players...

a bit hard to when this is literally the 15th thread you guys have made about the server going offline lol. If you're all gonna keep reposting threads like that then yeah other people that try to use this forum are gonna speak up.

I Undertand that... but there's no point of you banning ppl for just starting new threads.... you could simple warn the stupid guy and close the thead... pointing it to this one (that's what mods and admins usually do on stances like that...isn't?)

We just want to know if the server will be back, if you are working on it, maybe an estimated time solution.

Pretty much everyone is currently playing in another server. The thing is:
all our BP's are in SP1 and farming them at this point is hell with the xp system coming out.
Point me a community server with that ping and a userbase of 200 players and i'll happily move
It seems that no one cares, we know it's official server and exactly for this reason that we would have more attention. Here in Brazil SP 1 is the server with the highest average of online players have a huge list of friends playing rust and assure that a large part of her was eager to play in SP 1 and is disappointed with what is happening, we are just wanting a piece of information, or that is, the server will not return.
I think the server is gone... that's what ericspat said.... XP System coming out (maybe)... all knowledge obtained 'till now will be gone... I think I'll pass this month... Don't want to learn all again on servers that everybody already know everything... and in 'bout a month or so... all will be gone again... just TOO sad that no1 even try to say "Hey morons, there will be NO MORE Brazilian Server, back off!" or "Hey our dear customers, we're having troubles (or we are stress testing the servers) and it will be gone for a while... but in XX days maybe it will be back, we will keep you informed, thanks for playing our game and we hope you understand us."... NOPE... NOTHING... Well I guess... I think we'r supposed to THANK all of the Dev Support.
Does anyone knows what is causing this problem? Server rarely comes up, looks fine and without lag, then 10 minutes after, down again.
Since Wipe our server is down. Facepunch Customer service is horrible. We have no answers about whats happening...

Guys, understand, most of players will not play on a different server because of the ping. Sao Paulo's servers run at 30-50 ms for us. Other servers (north americans, europeans, etc) run at 170 and higher, it turns de PVP totally unplayable.
Its not that simple.

There are, but with less slots, sometimes admin abuse, these kind of "community" issues...
And ppl r starting DDoS the better community servers aswell... damn... I think I'll give up from Rust... sadly..
