Making it virtually random is an interesting idea. It will be challenging for some of the rednecks but it'll be interesting to see the effect it has on interactions when everybody's race is assigned by a dice throw.

For example i'm descended from Scottish, Irish, German and French so it really wouldn't make sense to call myself a Scottish Irish German French Australian, i'm just Australian(a lightly tanned white one).

European American isn't widely used because it covers the vast majority, with the Native and African American terms used to differentiate from the majority.

How about we just stick to calling everyone Newmans. We are all diverse members of the Rust world.

I dont like the change. I look like shit, much darker and with discolored green beard (look at my avatar). Like an unfinished character. And to be honest, I kind lost the will to continue play the game because of this discolored character. I prefer to be able pick a character with same look as myself in real life. I created the account because of this update.

Mine looks like the old default with added greenish stubble.

This is great. I love the social experiment Garry is doing. There is such terrible raciest garbage on the chat during a game that I almost always play with chat off. I have no idea if this will help (since most of the annoying chatters are probably 13 anyways) but I love it. For all those people who are having a hard time with this, you need to ask yourself why? You don't see your character most of the time anyways and once you put on clothes, helmet, and a mask you can barely tell. Ohh and I think I have a green beard also. After the update, I'm now black. I have no issues with it whatsoever. I can't help wonder if I'll be perceived differently in game because of it.

I'm also black in game. I always felt that any online game is an extension of your own personality and persona, the person you strived/dreamed/wished you were. I've never strived/dreamed/wished to be black. Tanned maybe...
