Then you would realize your post was neither constructive nor just.
i was simply saying that it has been a lengthy period of time [editline]18th December 2013[/editline] but to the devs this is one of my favorite games and it is quite addicting, even when you have to restart from scratch [editline]18th December 2013[/editline]
I think I have solution, for me I have agree the Steam Beta Update and after the update, rust work again !
where did you find this update
I bought the game and haven't even got to play it yet because of this. At least it's good to hear from lots of people that it's a good game.
would be nice to create locked thread that u update every 6 hours cca with post: We try click and double click but no changes... we work on it... Optimally u can add some relative information about eta.
Yes and most of the time it has been Steam's Issue. Not facepunch's issue. Plus in the technical world problems are always a pandoras box. Its not a simple left click here left click there to fix the issue.
EXACTLY...Imagine for a moment...you've spent months...not days, not hours...months working on something...and even in a lot of cases YEARs...lets say there has never really been a problem with a certain 'area' of your code since when you were originally implementing it months ago...now...without changing a god damn thing >/.< fack...it's breaking...MAYHEM ensues..."BUT WAIT!" someone says, "It's working for me just fine! Watch!"..."Well Shit!" you say, to much dismay, why does my fucking code work here, but not over on Mary Janes laptop? *scratching of heads continues* So you delve into you're code, first you have to remember where you put it...out of the 13,000 files...which would have code pertaining to this problem...okay now which one would we have put it in...now on the 8000 lines of code in that page...is it at the top...the bottom...well fuck it's been months so idfk...just start at the top, and read your way through..."Shit man, this all looks foreign to me, its been so long, i don't even remember half of this code, Ahhh found it!".....Okay now what......................it looks fine.....whats wrong..............okay well....maybe...it's this?........>BOOM<....now you done just blew up every server and no one can use it now..."Fuck, cmd+z...phew okay dont touch that...well wtf is it then.........." This process continues on for a few hours as the online community begins mobbing the support forums...demanding refunds...yelling in all-caps...generally rude...and rarely constructive. You finally find a fix for Mary Jane's laptop...but now the Mac users cant login and it's only with OSX10.7.2....10.7.1 and 10.7.3 +later are fine...So basically you just spent 40 hours farming...just to be raided that night when you log off......that's how these developers feel right now.
Yeah, it's still happening. Fingers crossed for the fix.
I think I have solution, for me I have agree the Steam Beta Update and after the update, rust work again !
This did not work for me :(

This is such a funny disfunction. I've been able to get on a couple servers but as soon as I'm d/c'ed I can't get back on and get the same connection fail. :(
I hope so not to break into a my house...haha:dance:
Same error when trying to join a server. Just bought the game too. I verified game cache, opted into Steam beta, and reinstalled Rust a second time and still get this error. *sigh
Performing a build...
Performing a build...
What does that mean?
Performing a build...
omgomgomgomgomgomg
okAAAAAAAAAAAAY
Man...and I just bought this game today. I was really hoping it would have been fixed and ready to go by now, but I guess I could wait a little longer. Probably have to wait until tomorrow though...
What does that mean?
it means "Hold on to your nutsack...this shit is GOIN LIVE...CATCH-A-RIIIIDE!"
What does that mean?
Simply put its implementing a fix.
How long does it usually take for fixes to be implemented?
performing a build in my pants...
Performing a build...
The Incredible Helk
How long does it usually take for fixes to be implemented?
There usually isn't a usually when it comes to stuff like this :) but mebe soon? :)
Performing a build...
Now, we wait... anxiously.
It depends. He is re-creating all the files necessary to then test. If the test fails then who knows how long. If it passes, we could be playing in a hour or so. I don't know the extent and resources they have. All I know is at work, when we do a delivery/build, we can do one in an hour. But our software is a lot different then game software.
I'm going to put a potential fix up on the dev branch in like 30 minutes, if that works properly I'm going to deploy it to the live branch
It's been an hour, I'm guessing this did not fix the issue?
