Honestly if the devs were that immature so that if someone killed them they banned the person, they don't deserve any sort of respect and I'm pretty sure everyone working on this won't blow up and ban people just because they died.

When I play and get killed I would most definitely not ban anyone, it's part of the game I helped create. The worst that wold happen is I would hunt you down and try and get revenge. I don't normally play with my admin account anyway.

Same to you! I think they are just experimenting with anti-cheat systems. A lot of people were banned that used legitimate keys and weren't hacking. Helk himself said above that he is going to look for false-positives.
This will all blow over eventually!

I was just banned too. Also have done nothing. I was force disconnected out of no where, then I refreshed and was banned. I was doing nothing but sitting in my house waiting for Garry to reset the server because he said he was going too.

yeah i heard that too so i collected all my items and went to a new place so wen it restarts to make a base but as i was walking i got banned.

From reading about this, I am almost certain that it has to do with their Anti-Cheat system.

Funny. You hacked to kill me, then pat himself said after you got autobanned "yeah, he was hacking". You should not waste the dev's time by claiming that you weren't hacking.
Maybe the auto ban system banned people with high ping because speedhackers have high ping. I got high ping yesterday and started to lag because I was downloading a game on steam, and today I was banned.

many were banned probably because an anticheat and ban system are being put into place, and like the game, they are very new, buggy, and as seen in this thread, prone to many false positives. there is no need to panic. the game is in alpha, there are bugs like this, and they will be fixed. im betting the entire anticheat/ban system was somewhat rushed since everyone was whining about hackers in this forum, and now that we almost have it, people start whining again. let the devs do their job, i bet most of them know far more about the game's technical details and bugs than you do.
So they should unban all players, make stable anticheat and then start banning permanently while it will be complete ;/ Im addicted to Rust and i must wait till i get unbanned _-_ Impossibru ;/
