.cfg is not a cheat trigger for VAC, everyone and their mom should know that [u]VAC only bans on .exe and .dll modifications [b]ONLY[/b][/u]
I edit it plenty of times, still not banned.

We take the last time the account was accessed into account when we look at those.
Also, we occasionally find posts by the members asking about the very hack they claim they didn't download.

Of course it doesn't, that's why when I look them up, I always check the most recent time that they logged in before making a hackusation (see what I did there? That was fucking clever, I should be a comedian.)

See, now you're losing it. Why would you need proof? it is not [I]you[/I] who decides if [I]you[/I] get banned or not. Valve has the proof they need to decide that, and decided they have. What you have, is the knowledge of every interaction you have made with your computer. I suggest that something in that knowledge and Valves 'proof' are one and the same.

You could be still either making your own cheats or going through a source where there is no need to sign up, or even using a different, unknown alias. Either way, you did one of the above and did in fact cheat.

I'm signed up on myg0t. Not exactly a hack provider but I used to code basic game specific hacks. Guaranteed ban if used but they workes.
I Remember being banned in Bf2 via pb. Made a thread about it of which I copped what this guy is copping. Ended up emailing ever what ever their name is and the ban was lifted in 4 days due to an error on their end.
