You said you used a Map Overlay. As far as VAC is concerned a Map Overlay is in the same boat as a "hack" because it injects itself into the game. Above and beyond the fact that Facepunch has no authority over VAC, unless you were just agreeing to anything you pretty much admitted you DID do something to trigger VAC.
It may not be malicious like "hacks", but a map overlay IS cheating.
