I really don't care who it is that types this, but if you can't even bother to understand how VAC works, you shouldn't claim it doesn't work right.
VAC has had extremely few false positives in its time. The last one that Valve actually unbanned was years ago in a very special case where VAC and a game update disagreed with each other. Your son more than likely cheated and is simply in extreme denial. We get cases like this all the time.
Also, there is realistically less than a 0.001% chance that Valve is going to unban your son. The system is tried and true. It is extremely effective. It detects if someone tries to inject code (using a cheat or game trainer) into the game. As soon as you do, VAC flags your account 1-3 weeks after initial detection.

My friend got banned once and sent a tweet to Garry, Garry then tweeted to Valve angrily and said something like "Damnit Valve! Stop Banning People (Cheaters)", just explain to him what happened and I'm sure you'll get the same outcome. From what I could gather from that tweet, Garry hates valve and is looking at replacing them for sure. If you tweet I'm sure this would add more value to his argument that valve needs to be replaced.

I love how these hack sites keep advertising their cheats as undetectable and "VAC proof."
Guess what happens when their customers go to complain about being VAC-banned? They get banned there too because avoiding bad publicity is more important to the people who run those sites and their moderators than customer support. As soon as your money is in their bank account, they don't give a crap about you.
I've actually seen them post lists of excuses to use when you got banned to attempt to pull the wool over game admins. That crap doesn't work on Valve though. It was your brother, your grandma, your dog, some guy in Hackistan stole your account...they don't care.
For that I was banned in Rust I did not use cheats please see nick in rust-Max-
