west coast sever ate up with hackers, hackers in the sky hackers falling into my house from the sky and Seth is no clipping into people homes i really don't want to keep playing if this keeps up work so hard on a base and have someone come in in less than a sec and wipe out all your hard work is frustrating

I logged on to my house being raided by hackers (I was upstairs and I could hear like 3 guys downstairs going through my stuff, talking about their next target). Not even 5 minutes later another lone hacker came through and I kindly let him know he was late to the party. It's getting ridiculous. I know it's alpha but how are we supposed to do any sort of "testing" if our entire inventory basically gets wiped ~ once an hour.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for this game it is wonderful. Myself and about 10 of my friends all play together and we have alot of fun. Now I am not one to complain, I usually just deal with problems that occur in game. In this instance I had to say something. The group of people that I play with are not really good but we have fun. Today we spent the entire day playing Rust on the US West Coast Server. We started out in this little shack that was abandoned we gathered resources all day saved up worked really hard so we could relocate to a different location that we thought was better. So we finally moved to this new location and got established and a clan by the name of [SxG] started coming through the floor, ceiling, and the walls just to take everything that we worked so hard to make and gather. Now I understand that looting is part of the game and thats fine. We loose things all of the time to people who blow up our walls or our doors, but to loose everything to people that are just flying through the floor, ceiling, and walls is just wrong. I mean we worked so hard to build it and gather the items just to have a cheater fly in and take it all away was completely dewinding to all of us. Everyone logged off upset and annoyed that we just did all of this work in the game for nothing. Maybe you can help us I dont know. I just wanted you to understand what us as players are feeling about people who are doing these things to us. We understand that the game is in Alpha and it is still being worked on but we thought there could still be something that you could do as the people that are making it.

I was out getting resources and when I come back into my house with closed metal door and wood ceiling almost everything is gone from my wood storage box. I am guessing i got "no-clipped" which is apparently a hack in which the hacker just walks through walls to get into a house. Whats the point of playing when you play the game but have to reset every couple of hours because of hackers. I understand server wipes but the hacking is pushing everyone away from the game(at least for now). The game is so fun until you get hacked so I guess I will be back when the full game comes out out(assuming most hacks are gone).

I just logged on and began playing i was in my house when suddenly a guy began speaking in voice chat.. suddenly he noclipped into my house and killed me with a rock, he stole all my shit and noclipped out, Hes name was "God" and this was on the australian server. i didnt get any evidence, but almost whole the server saw this guy, and im not the only one he killed. logged in this morning, everything gone, my base in tact I was dead, really cant be arsed with this shit and its killing the community. If people rage quit and look for other games there is a good chance they wont come back or refer people to the game. I don't mind wipes ect but some little shit that can walk in to my house and take everything I work to get is very annoying. I even logged out with my better stuff, but due to this sleeper shit they could kill my body and take it all...................

I don't understand the purpose of this thread? You can't ban anyone yet simply because the evidence you all post could not be legit. Anyone could rename themselves to anything. So i could rename myself to an honest player.. Get a friend video record me 'hacking' and submit it but an innocent player gets banned. This game does not have the functionality to ban people accurately yet. Until we use proper steam names/ID's, they will find it extremely hard to identify a player, then make the correct action. I've said this in another thread. The reason why the big clans are so successful is they understand what an Alpha is. They craft something and utilize it straight away instead of hoarding it in a box, praying that another player does not take it. They are prepared to lose everything. I suggest you keep hold of nothing. Remember everything is temporary for the time being and enjoy surviving/killing relentlessly and building unique buildings until you make a design you truly like so you can make it again when things are more stable.

The name change is done via the site... there very well could be a log for when people change their names, list IP's and a log that tracks IP's ingame. You're just assuming.

nvidia shadowplay is gonna be godsent in the war against hackers, just be able to pull up the last 30 mins of gameplay anytime, cause its not often im ready to record when i see something and the time it takes me to set up its all over
