on the server "game or be lame" pvp no sleep. theres a hacker or maybe admin abuse. server was wiped on the 31st december and there are hardly ever any airdrops. anyways, yesterday i woke up to see my house raided, over 15 walls blown up. steer clear of this server.

Or maybe they're already in the process of building a better system. But duping shouldn't be difficult to address.

Playing on UK 3 (stress test) at 17.00 GMt and it was unbelieveable how many hackers were playing there. I was killed by a player with the name "-" 3 times from inside a rock with a silenced M4. Every time I left my 1x1 shed for more than 10 minutes I would come back and the boxes would be empty without any damage to the building itself. I pretty sick of trying to get somewhere and finding that my feeble efforts have been stolen by an even feebler hacker. VAC is simply not secure enough. I know that guys at facepunch are working on something at the moment and I really hope its going to put a stop to this.

Two of my friends and I ran into a hacker on a small community server. We believe he was spawning in items, using an invisibility hack, and an invincibility hack. We have a no name hacker bothering our server and neither myself or the other admin can find any info on how to find and ban this player. When he kills people there is no name shown. Both myself and the other admin have searched high and low on both this forum and using search engines to try and find a solution but we can not find one. Please, if anyone has any information on how to figure out their name or how to ban them please let me know.

Just adding confirmation that aimbots and some kind of ghosting through walls survived the VAC bans. Was killed on North America 4 by a guy named "-" who was doing just that. I'm not sure its necesarry to report more details on the guy or proof; I doubt anybody cares. Simply want the developers to update the VAC definitions ASAP, and/or work on making their code harder to crack. Some kind of server-side consistency check should be added, perhaps. In the mean time, given how common cheaters are, there isn't a lot of room for legitimate players in this game anymore. Moving on until the issue is addressed.

This isn't really about a hacker, per se... I banned someone from my server with the name of PeaceKeeper [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/id/Peacekeeper"]http://steamcommunity.com/id/Peacekeeper[/URL] He was being an asshole and wouldnt chill out so I just banned him because I didn't want to deal with it. He sent me a bunch of messages on Steam telling me that he would DDoS the server if he didn't get an unban... obviously I was very skeptical and i definitely did not unban him. Lo and behold, my server went down minutes after. I've submitted support tickets with HFB servers and Steam to try and get him permanently banned from everything and possible take legal action, because this is some BS.

IN NORTH AMERICA 4's SERVER. A GUY NAMED GUNTHER. HE NEEDS TO GET BAN PERMANENTLY. He killed me twice after getting trough metal doors like it was nothing. 3 days of getting items vs 2 minutes to rob all the stuff by hack. UNPLAYABLE GAME. These assholes are ruining the game, how can they make fun of this I just don't get it :( It makes me sad cuz it's a waste of time to play this game... the problem is I enjoy every second of it till a hacker comes and takes everything I had. It shouldn't be possible to play on VAC-enabled servers with a cracked version of the game.

That'd be a lot less believable than a unity engine game being easily pirated, even killing floor terraria starbound etc. are still easily pirated and used online

You can't really do much about it at this point until either VAC or the developers figure out a way to counter all the hacking. As of now, the game is unplayable for me. Every server I join with 50+ people in it I encounter hackers. P.S.: To be honest, they're not hackers, they're script kiddies. These guys aren't creating these things, they're using their mom's credit card to buy them from an established hacker (HeliOs from ArtificialAiming). I was reading on their forums and read that they've already had 8,500 sales for the hack. EIGHTY-FIVE HUNDRED PEOPLE! Think about that... And you don't just "buy" the hack, you "subscribe" to it for an allotted time. If each of those people is paying $20 for the "3 month subscription" then the guy making it has made [I]at least[/I] $170,000 off selling a hack for a single game!
