But i think the hacking combined with cheats, glitches ect are too rampant atm and personally think it should be a priority to fix. For a game like Rust cheating and hacks will always be more common due to the style of play but thats more reason for devs to nip it in the bud. Imo Facepunch need a dedicated team/person to work on this and this should be budgeted for in a game like this, even if it has an adverse effect on other aspects of game like more content. As gamers we should stick together to show our stance on hacking and cheating. That way the devs will listen and will take extra steps to remedy the situation. Obviously it wont be fixed overnight but just some reassurance would be nice. I think its pretty unproductive to "sit back and wait for VAC to do its work".

Imho I thinks this new trend of making OPEN Alpha , is ruining both gamers and developers, too many cheats come out too quick since the game is not stable... im not sure they are doing the right thing at all P.s : this is also because most of the actual buyer of the game dont even completely get this early access/alpha situation

So a lot of people have gotten VAC bans but this guy just killed my friend and I. We were both wearing full kevlar and had M4's hiding in a wooden shack with the door closed and he no clipped into the house and killed the both of us. The funny thing is that he left the sleeping bag alone so when I respawned (after a few minutes) there was a guy wearing full kevlar with a laser sighted M4 telling naked noobs to get on the ground and give him all their stuff. Then I see the guys name change so I said over voice chat "hey your'e the hacker that just took all my shit aren't you!?" the guy says oh shit and kills me right off the bat (this time with his real name). Hacker name: 1LL11L11L11LL1 (using 9mm pistol and leather) Real Name: Spooderman (using M4 and kevlar found on my body) Server: US East 3

I spent 3hrs building up my char on a server. Had multiple shelters, mp5 etc... had some fun scaring nakeds but that was it. Then someone out of nowhere hits me with a rock. I turn around and empty my entire mp5 clip into him but he "zooms" away at twice the speed of regular people. Then out of the bush comes 4 or 5 of these guys all with rocks. I'm like "uh oh", and run away. I blast one with a shotgun but no effect. Then bam bam bam I'm dead. Fun = 7/10 Suckage = 10/10 :(

I even saw people with the name "I hack ban me" on official servers. From what I can tell there's no more duping c4. This would be a good thing except for now people can just walk through doors. I would have rather had the duping c4!

Well, now I'm getting harassed by a group of people that have #420 in their names. No idea how to stop this but the game is basically unplayable because I spawn, then they come to me, verbally harass me and then kill me. So I guess that's enough RUST for me for a while... Please ban these #420bluntz douches

Agree about the 1 - 4 weeks is useless for banning to take place. This is a game where you build stuff. It doesn't matter so much in games where you just shoot, die and level up, but for Rust it makes a huge difference.

Today I was in my shed and all of a sudden a man with a pistol shows more than half his body through my door and shoots me in the head. I understand he can shoot me through my door and I'm fine with that. But when I came back to my shed, the door was still in place and closed, but both my full storage boxes were looted somehow. Possible hacker encounter for me. Just wanted to add to the forum, so that something could be done about hackers so that the rest of us can have a decent time with this amazing game.

It looks to you like the door is closed, but to him the door opens. This is why he can shoot you through it, then walk in and take your stuff while it looks like the door is closed. And yes, this hack has completely destroyed the game.

This guy is a hacker. We were on the BMRF server and I killed him legit. He then comes back with kevlar and a shotgun with his hacks loaded. He turned on his speed hack and would do a run-by over and over to try to 1-shot me and my buddy with a shotgun. He failed miserably over and over. After we killed him again he logged off for a bit and changed his name about 10 times to try and trick us.
