I can see a potential use for it, real basic.. real easy to use.
It works great, until you kill a "trusted" admin's best friend in game.

You aren't the only one. I run around with nothing because there's no point in building/making things just to have a hacker steal them from you. Hacking is completely out of control in this game. The screenshot above with the server names is proof that it is out of control.

Both no.clipped inside the middle of my base, they zoomed through my main room twice, then i opened a door to find 1 of them outside it, in a middle non escapeable room(without destroying at least 2+ doors/walls), killed me once, then as i respawned the second dude killed me.
When challenged in chat about it they fully denied it and demanded evidance even though several others who are regular players like myself saw them hacking.

msi afterburner works really well if want to record vids. u can even add mp4 codecs and change quality to your needs.

See an invisible guy running around? It's an admin. They have invisible armor available.

Learn how the game works before screaming "OMG HACKER" otherwise you look like an idiot. There are enough hackers crapping all over the game without using this thread to report anyone who kills you / is an admin / is a better player than you / is picking on you / hurt your feelings. Save the thread for the spammers, streamers, hackers, noclippers, aimbotters, DDOSers, etc.

Admins are the biggest cheaters... Seen way more admins abusing power than I have hackers... and I have 200+ hours logged.

i really wanna know how an admin can get this guys in action, becase everytime i tp myself to see what this guys are doing i get dc from the server and end up dead. so now i just ban when people complain and i don't care if it's fair or it isn't.
sometimes when i actually find where this guys are building i go there in god mod with like 50 c4's and i don't even shot them, i just blow every single door/wall and then i ban them. many times they disconnect when they realize you're an admin just ruining their hacker village. it's really fun!

Honestly, I'd say the system is so fundamentally flawed that its implementation is bad. Who's going to sit there and watch all the videos, especially when one admin reports two dozen people every day, each with a 30-minute video? What if the person reviewing the videos doesn't understand what "an admin wearing invisible armor" looks like? What if the person making the video has a crappy graphics card that glitches video? What if the person making the video is on a laggy connection or has an overburdened CPU, making someone appear to leap across a field instantly? What if the person making the video edits the player name? What if the person reviewing the videos is untrustworthy? What if the person reviewing the videos gets repeatedly owned by someone simply because they're a superior player, then decides to ban him as retribution? What if the person reviewing the videos suddenly stops? What if YouTube suddenly takes down the videos? What if someone is just good and knocks someone out with three shots from an M4, but gets falsely accused of hacking?
It's a nice concept, but unworkable in reality. The best solution is just to switch servers. The game is in alpha and is going to have problems -- including hackers. Adding mob policing (ESPECIALLY after reading some of the bogus "hack" reports in the thread) is a bad, bad idea that will ultimately serve to block good players while kicking off a tiny, tiny percentage of hackers. Worse, you're just going to empower abusive admins, like this guy:

Admin cheaters are the worst. Invincible AND invisible? No thanks. Problem is, these are necessary tools to help out players and/or catch hackers in the act. I take comfort in the fact that this is an alpha game and this will eventually be worked out.
The only solution is to find a better server, unfortunately.

I have one house, made of metal 2x2. its like tower with stairs and it have around 15 metal doors. Every night i die and all my stuff are taken. But no doors are destroyed and there is no way to get in. :rolleyes:

Add a line to server.cfg that says "truth.punish false"
This will fix the teleport DC bug.

So this person was on our Rust++ server tonight, and was speed hacking all over the place. He and his buddy were supposedly doing other things too, but the one thing I witnessed personally was him flying all over the map around me. And no, it wasn't lag. I can tell the difference.
