• Only building rock bases until building is fixed-- too easy to greif and exploit current bases.
wrong, there is no "climb function" you can swim out but you cannot get up on the deck.
So how do you get in and out then? Or are you stuck there? lol
So how do you get in and out then? It works to get off and to land, but health loss on the way out negates any chance of building up. You just either drown or die of a cold. I have tried to attack the base and have been unsuccessful. So as much as people say they could beat it....ATM they are wrong. Ive tried and Ive played Rust for quite a while. I know how to raid, and I know how the game mechanics work. But as said , when food is stackable its probably done and dusted but in the mean time .... I just like building and trying stuff.

I can build to the highest mountain. I can build bridges across huge rivers. But I can't get out to your base? I can.
enough comparing dicks guys, you don't know if you can get in until you are literally standing inside. nothing is impossible, nothing is impenetrable, but you don't know the exacts of his base.
so guys i kind of wanted to buy this game i really did but after seeing all this shet and the whole RAID EVERYONE shenanigans i decided against it What's the point of collecting all these items, all this gear, only to get raided and lose it all?

Otherwise, if it was vanilla, you can build a bridge to anywhere now

Seeing what can be done. The fun of testing the game mechanics. Ignore our shit talk, its because we have been playing long enough that once you have enough, you try different things. Thats the fun thing about this game ....once you have enough.... you try something else. Yep, sometimes you wake up with nothing, but you know you can get it all back..and if your smart enough, the next time it will be harder for your enemies. Learn by your failings, learn what works and what does not, but allways remember (as some have said) their is allways away. The fun part is watching how inventive other players are. Best $20 game Ive ever bought. And never forget...........we are all talking about pixels on a screen.........its just a game. P.S. "shenanigans" my fav word ever !
Learning by your failings is the way to do it in the current system. I have learned how to make ungriefable entrances at ground level (with spots in front of the door) and on upper floor balconies, thanks to being repeatedly griefed. Sucks at the time, but you learn how to counter this stuff. It's so funny starting on a server 1st day after a wipe and 3 guys instantly come to your base and start throwing down foundations and railing off doors simply to grief because that is their idea of fun in the game. Creative railing placement can prevent griefing on upper level doors. Purposeful foundation steps spamming can help with bottom level doors, if you're not already built in a place that prevents building around the base. Takes some trial and error and you have to spend an unfortunate period of time trying to grief yourself to make sure things are secure.. but it's worth it in the end. P.S. Shenanigans is an excellent word! I'm a huge fan of the word "onomatopoeia". =P
