What are your specs, it sounds like you're running out of memory if it's shared
I stopped playing do to the constant wipes (Yes, I understand it's in Alpha) and whenever I came in contact with someone with a gun, they blew my brains out. I also stopped do to just the never ending crafting. Like honestly. It felt like a job more than fun. I had to sit in my house and wait till fricken daylight to run out and pray to god I don't get clubbed with a rock from some retard nude caveman just to find some wood piles by huge houses and get sniped. I've never gotten an actual, functioning weapon or house. Ridiculous. And yes, fuck those gay servers. There's like 1,000,000 of them and no one uses them. Fuck those server hosting companies. Lets just host off of like 10 servers all hosted off Garry.

The wipes I can understand, but I've played on many servers where KOS'ing wasn't common.
Seems like you lack a team (which is sadly necessary if you plan on not living on the road). If crafting is taking a while, get a team to separate the workload. That, or join a custom crafting time server.
As for getting killed so much, just play more and get better. It's not like anyone starts off in Rust and becomes a super bandit/survivor in mere days.

I'm not sure how much memory I have, but I literally got this laptop about a week ago, and I've only downloaded about 3 other programs ( 4 - including rust ) and never keep anything else open while playing rust. Is there any fix to it, or heck....will it ever even be fixed or do I have to wait until the official release?
Edit:
I have 6200mb of memory
In theory that might work, but I think the airdrops should be taken advantage of more so, instead of finding weapons from crates or crafted I feel they'd be worth way more if they were open obtained via aidrops.
This would just continue to feed the horrible "make the rich richer and the poor poorer" theme the game has had going for months now. No solo players would stand a chance (not that it's easy for us as the game currently is) when there's a handful of big, bad clans running around clad in full kevlar while they spray their M4s at every easy target they come across when the best those targets can hope to have is full leather and a hand-cannon. If you want to kill the game faster, by all means, push for this "improvement". Like it or not, the majority of gamers fly solo because grouping up is too difficult to do in a game where everyone shoots on sight. If anything's killing this game, it's the awful community.
I did not quit Rust yet, I keep coming back to it because it is such a high quality game. Unfortunately it has lost so much of its appeal after the rented servers came to be. A lot of people who I played this game with has decided to quit because of it, even the guy I started the game with, Hellbean, is rarely playing it anymore.
We used to have so much fun in this game, hiding from people and trying to hunt people. Yet now people can just get away by jumping servers.
I've already said a couple times I understand the choice of the private/rented servers from the financial side of things, but man, it is killing i.
I really wish You, Helk, Pat & Garry could see what kind of game this game could be with just a few official servers based on regions and not all of these rented servers. Unfortunately I do not know of an easily alternative for you guys to keep sustaining financially from this game, even after people has bought it.
But please, reconsider the rented server thing. Please.

I 100% agree with you, and that's why i made a suggestion about singleplayer. Many people seem to disagree with it, but i don't know what kind of harm would it cause to anyone? No new naked spawn players to KoS?
I don't get why you guys all hate private servers. Is it admin abuse or is it just that you can't get settled in a populated server?
It's the latter of course. Admin abuse is a problem, but it's very minor next to the problem presented by vastly too many servers. But not being about to find a good server simply because there's so many and none are really good population-wise is the main problem; or they start out "ok" but quickly die off. The official server is a nice addition, but since the server browser literally never reports the correct player counts, it sort of defeats the purpose.
What's the deal with the player counts always reporting wrong in the server browser Helk?
I think once we change how research works it'll be harder to get to the endgame.
What I want to do is make it so researching an item destroys the item you are researching in exchange for a percentage of a blueprint.. so maybe you need to cannibalize 4 m4's to learn how to make one
Helk, as an alternative, maybe your player could randomly "forget" how to craft an item, between two x values of the items crafted. For instance, I just learned kevlar pants, now if I find a second blueprint, I should keep it, because sometime between making my 2nd and 5th pair of pants, I'll forget how to make them?
I am highly doubtful someone will say yes but...
I am wondering if anyone can steam share with me. The only game I would download and play is rust. I would let you play it when you want and I wouldn't download any other games so you can play all of them whenever you want.
Well anyway that is what I ask and I doubt anyone will say yes but I decided to give it a try.
I BOUGHT THE GAME A DAY AFTER I POSTED THIS :D (TODAY)
The reason why I stopped playing was glitches, server admins, hackers, me sucking, restarts, and just getting bored of the gameplay itself. New rust is looking promising though. Sadly not playable for a prolonged period of time not including the lag varied from player to player. Will be fixed in due time though.

not sure if you seen what i posted. I don't think you will say yes but as you can see i checked a few hours after I posted (i'm that desperate lol)
Really it was the latency issues between friends and where we all live and trying to find a good "Middle server"... Oh and don't forget the hackers!!! THEY ARE LITERALLY THE WORST
People buying hacks and exploiters running rampant coupled with bugs and exploits that were literally never going to be fixed made me stop wasting time with the original rust. Not fun without an even playing ground. It was fun for a while though.
