Don't really care, to be honest. As Garry stated on the matter, you are born who you are. Today's Tumblr kids would love to beg to differ, but no amount of wearing different clothing, throwing around stupid adjectives/nouns, or changing your anatomy will change who or what you were originally born as. You are what gender you are born as. Nothing will change that. Your mind may have you think that you are or want to be another gender, or can't identify as a gender, but those are psychological issues. I can read just fine. You are correct that I am the gender I was born as. Nothing will change that. Not even a birth defect or the ignorance of other people.... You are your mind, not your body. Your penis does not hold your personality...... though you could indeed argue otherwise for some. Gender identity is not considered a "psychological" issue. Anymore than homosexuality. I am mentally ill because of my unfortunate circumstances of birth? We no longer live in the dark ages.... they don't electroshock the 'gay' away anymore. It's nice to visit a game forum to learn about updates in RUST and simultaneously learn that people believe I am a mentally ill tumblr trend setter that can never be anything but my birth genitials. But I'd be interested in hearing what others would think about this.[/QUOTE] im for it, i've always dreamed about a game that has no rules, no classes, no specifications of role, and no chance to choose your ideal alter ego. the idea behind it is very deep and i appreciate it. you'll be given a gender, a skin color, a face texture and that's it, like in real life. you'll probably be allowed to choose your hair style when there will be some, or even the beard style if you're born male.

I think it's a really interesting and unprecedented approach to assign innate characteristics permanently from an unchangeable SteamID. I think it goes a little way to highlighting/inhibiting peoples prejudices in a social sense. As long as no in game advantage/disadvantage is inherited I think it should be the same for gender. I mean lets face it, I may end up as a woman with a mans voice but this would probably be just as frequent if people have the choice. I use DayZ as my example to prove the point.

The way I see it. Garry can change race and or gender to be player chosen whenever he wants. It would be a waste not to assign them to steam id's as see how folks react to one another. I don't think too many people would be lost due to a little experiment like this. Garry can always change later.
