In all fairness, as much as I really don't care what character I end up with, I find it odd that you can't customize your character. It's kind of a contradiction in a game that has been going for player freedom.

I don't know. I'd like to be able to pick my gender but then again I don't really care too much. I think really gender is one of those things you should be able to pick, at least in a game, at least it lets me know, although not with certainty, that the person playing is the same gender as the character.

Steamid random based anything is shit. The sooner its all gone the better.

I want the option of pretending to be a female so I can con people into thinking I'm a girl IRL, hopefully this will then allow me to seduce them and steal all their l00t.

Here's a new perspective; my girlfriend isn't interested in playing if she cannot control her gender and character appearance. In trying to create sexistly neutral content you are actually excluding the gender you are trying to appease. To the vast majority of women I know who play video games character creation is a big deal. I also think it's stupid that they created a relatively athletic model for the male figure but have created an unathletic model for the female. Rust is a game about sprinting around and bashing people's heads in with rocks, you tend to get buff doing those sorts of activities. I think it is unrealistic that the women of rust are to be less fit for their environment than the men, unless the development team is trying to suggest that women are lazy and rely on men for physical strength and that is downright sexist.

Because if not, then why even introduce it? It's not as neutral as skin color. Although skin color affects your camouflage ability, but only for nakeds. Gender on the other hand changes quite a bit how we picture a character. Of course, in Rust you will be hunting those females as you know from your experience that they're the biggest scumbags of all and it gets even somewhat. Nevertheless, I don't want to be associate with female character. My voice would sound terrible with a woman's body. Also, what's the real purpose for female characters? I've known some female players waiting for this update but it will prove useless to them if they're to stick with their male avatars according to RNG. :)

I just saw the latest update and the female player model isn't as out of shape as I thought looking at the unskinned model. But dem pancake titties are just a stupid excuse to not have to tweak the existing outfits too much. Quality over quantity.

If you will pay attention to what I said and go have a look at the female player model my statement will make sense to you. No female alive has an upper torso like that besides possibly Caitlin Jenner pre-op. I don't want barbie in rust. I want a realistic female and there is no such thing as average. Average means variety. And I would like to see a calorie system implemented which would mean calories that aren't burnt after consumption are stored as fat and having a visual aspect to this. I would love to play as a 300 lb behemoth cannibal who kills people with traps to eat them because he can't move very fast. And even if one were to try to create an "average" woman, making those weird pancake boobs doesn't make sense because the "average" woman with three and a half children doesn't have saggy twelve year old boobs. Some women have small boobs some have large boobs, but intentionally making a player model ugly so that everyone who looks at it can say " at-least I didn't get hit by a bus" is ridiculous. people need to accept themselves, they don't need to be coddled. Also its a fucking video game not a circle jerk.
