The reason I'd like all of this to be random (and NOT player selected) is to maximize player model diversity. I do NOT want maximum player diversity as part of some sort of political/philosophical agenda. I want maximum diversity for purely pragmatic tactical gameplay reasons! I don't care what [I][B]my[/B][/I] character looks like, but I care a lot about what [I][B]everyone else's[/B][/I] characters looks like! I want to have the best chance at distinguishing a friend from an unknown person at a distance. This means forcing random character models, otherwise most players (friend and foe alike) would be indistinguishable large white dudes. If the price I pay for max diversity is my character is forever a short black woman, I'm fine with it! Hell, I think it's hilarious! And besides, how Much time do you spend looking at your own character?
