Ajax0, its not just pure skill. For instance, i am getting better at base building. But the developers keep making things more easy for raiders in my opinion: * Massive increase in resources needed for building ( especially armored ). * Decay added making some tricks useless because you can not access your foundations all the time ( also not all things land lock ). * Now the rocket launcher that can take out anything ( material wise the rockets at the moment are cheaper then C4. Two rockets can do the damage of one C4 but cost less ). Rockets will probably make windows in bases also useless ( nothing more fun for some people then placing a rocket in your room and having your stuff de-spawn ). And that was just in the last few patches and the one upcoming one. What did base builders get? Barriers and that is it. O and new stairs. *lol* So the end result is that one needs to keep making more and more layers around your buildings to compensate and simply make cube buildings with no windows. I mean, there is nothing you can do against rockets. You can try to make it harder for the enemy to attack those c4's to your building. But rockets? Even rock bases ( if they somehow are made on a secure rock ) can now be breached. Same with up-builds. Frankly, the only good way to survive solo is simply not get noticed. Building small bases that are just loot rooms, in hidden or hard to get to locations. Nothing big, noticeable or something you can be proud off.
Well, rockets were not implemented during the time of this discussion, so up until the point of this post, they're irrelevant. I have no personal idea whether or not they are overpowered, as I haven't used them yet, and have no idea how rare the blueprints are either. However, the validity of my post will remain. The whiniest players are almost always the scrubbiest.

Single player or small groups have less change of finding the BP's then bigger groups. Those groups then combine resources production while the person who studied the BP crafts the C4's. While most normal players do not have access unless they get very lucky. The same will apply for the Bazooka and rocket BP's... Even if a normal player finds one of the two blueprints by change, the change he finds the second needed one is even more extreme. While the same is not so for big clans. End result will be the same like with C4 ... -------------- And to your point. We know the resources needed, we know the amount of rockets that are needed to destroy walls. In effect we know EXACTLY how much damage they will do. We already seen them in action on the development server. The FACTS are that for base builders the amount of costs / time have gone up a LOT from the last changes. Like the massive resource cost increases for armored walls. Add to this the decay that will constantly weaken foundations. And now the flying weaker C4... And what do base builders get to offset this? Barriers... those same barriers that gotten weakened again in this last patch. No offense but if the developers there goal is for people to quit after a few days playing, that works perfectly. Because all i see on a fairly know server how most bases are just abandon structures after the players got raided for the so many time.
