Everyone looks young, perfect, with all their physical attributes decked out just the way they like it. Everyone runs around as their as near as perfect representation of how they want to look. I'm glad a developer finally had the guts to break away from this for once. One thing I wish they would work on later, is having even more physical variation. Instead of having 10 different faces, make them have more procedural variations in their facial features, so everyone can truly be unique. I get so tired of generic perfect characters, when I do make characters now in other games, I intentionally pick something that is NOT ideal. Especially in MMO games, even though I pretty much never play those anymore. I truly get so tired of seeing only beautiful characters with all likable traits. No one picks ugly character features. Shouldn't their be the ugly underdog character? Or that guy with the big nose? Or that old guy that short? I dunno, but when I see screenshots of all the typical MMO games, it makes me want to gag.

The tears from this decision are the best. Deal with it. I hope you get the most personally offensive character you possibly can. I think this is the best game decision Rust has made.

You guys that are trying to deflect this to a racism/sexism issue still aren't addressing the fact that players who paid the same amount for this game could be stuck with a permanent disadvantage that isn't due to their actions in game.

Go play Sims 4 if you want to customize your playable character. I'd like to see battle scars personally. Fresh spawns have no markings but every time you die and respawn, there is a scar from where you took damage.

It's way more interesting to not have a character creator, surprisingly enough.
