This is the first sensible update in a while. This should actually give solo bandits like myself a better chance, I can see early game (first day or two) people storing frags to use in libraries so they can get C4 ASAP and thus lots of insecure buildings with frags to loot from the unprepared and over enthusiastic. I think I will do ok with my hit and run tactics 😀
It should go to steam inventory, however without option to trade between players. Right now it will be really difficult unless you're playing in big group.
For the people that are complaining about the big clans…
Are you expecting to be at the same height as the large clans if you play alone or with one friend? I think that you will never have the same opportunities, it's obvious. This is a survival game against other players, I think the first survival step of the humanity thousands of years back was forming groups, the larger the best
The good thing is that now you have many places to found BP fragments, many rads, many monuments, caves, roads.
I think that with these changes the rad towns will come to life again, like in legacy. (I miss the “urban” combat)
Until today the rad towns were a boring place full of nakeds and beds
And if you have a house near a rad town that house will be the target of many clans that want your BP fragments

It's a common complaint with any change to the game. People whine and want the game to accommodate their play style rather than adapting their play style to changes in the game.

The argument is getting gear is hard as a solo player, not that you should be on the same level as groups..
Getting a base to make charges to look for HQ metal/oil then building and running a pumpjack/refinery/quarry is pretty difficult by yourself. Now since they apparently cant be next to each other due to rarity, it makes it pretty damn hard to even get an AK, let alone a stash of gear. So you just get shit on by anyone now
Before the mining shift i could get geared up good by myself, but in terms of c4 and quantity of gear, groups were still way ahead.
Now its hard to even get the gear solo, and of course groups are going to out produce by far a solo player like always but to a greater extent because of the material gathering difficulties.

I think you are right and it must be like that for a solo player, this is a massive multiplayer, not a single player, but still if you are careful you can get high tier stuff, you can get HQM in the public quarry or in neighbor’s quarry (when the server have low population) or farming rocks
I repeat, playing solo MUST be more difficult
The material gathering is just slower now
Well, I honestly don't think this new BP system will change much as it stands. I played for about an hour during my lunch break. Ran 2 rad towns and ran the roads looking for barrels.
First 2 crates I opened in the first rad town were AK+ammo and Tommy + ammo. Got a bunch of actual BPs as well as a shitload of BP fragments.
By the time I logged off to get back to work, I had 600 BP fragments, 4 (3 Thompsons) guns, more than enough ammo 2 hatchets, a bunch of useful BPs (rocket launcher, metal facemask, large furnace, refinery, pump jack, quarry, explosives).
So honestly, I don't see the new fragment system changing much of anything if they still drop regular BPs at the same rate as before. If anything, it actually speeds up progression rather than slowing it down.
They said the new system will need to be balanced.

Hence why I said "Well, I honestly don't think this new BP system will change much as it stands."
well this system is bugged ive been play for 3 hours not once i have found a bp or any bp fragments nor has anyone else on the i play so i went to another they were having the same issue. but now i see some servers are getting them just fine what gives.

Well if you don't find them in pretty much all barrels, then something sure is wrong on that server.
Getting a lot of them here.
come to find out a lot of servers have them disabled.
The new BP system has made it a lot easier to learn blueprints in my opinion. You don't even need any resources to learn an item from a research table. This plus the fragment boost on tables has made it much easier.

London II facepunch server,
we stayed in radtown for more than 3 hours in whole radtown there were 4 barels spawning after half an hour or so, and 2 weapon ammo crates that spawned 2 times, in whole this time we were able to get about 80 fragments and when i turned them into bp PAGE it gave me hv arrows bp whitch was suposed to be in fragment tier so no not really working ... and before u ask nobody else was farming barels at the time, we killed every living thing around.
