Will my laptop run Rust? 2,9 GHz Intel Core i7 (Dualcore i think) Processor 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 RAM Intel HD Graphics 4000 Graphicscard (Macbook Pro 2012 mid)

(Macs usually aren't for gaming)
Two guys said I couldn't. Now you say i could run it at 30fps. Im confused DD:
Yeah, that's really barely playable, so basically the answer is no. It's an entry-level card from about 2007, it really won't do you much good, I highly suggest an upgrade.

Really now? on what settings? Fantastic settings but when i was ingame the grass freaks me out so i did f1 and typed grass.on false and grass.replacement false and i putted the render quality on 0 but for me there is no difference between 100 and 0 and 0 helped me very much so yeah now im lagg free
:tinfoil:
No, not enough graphics RAM AND it is integrated graphics.
I just want to make sure that this 20 second graphics lag spike cycle (for lack of a better term) i go through is normal for everyone? I've timed it and tried it at every resolution and every setting I've seen that i can turn off via console i have done and the game still gives me a graphics lag spike every 20 seconds. I've timed it, its clockwork i don't know what it is or if i can do anything to stop it. It happens no matter what i am doing in game as well. OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 2.6.1.7601 (Service Pack 1) (Windows 7) CPU TYPE: Intel® Core™ i7-2860QM CPU @ 2.50GHz CPU SPEED: 2.52 GHz SYSTEM MEMORY: 8.54 GB VIDEO CARD MODEL: AMD Radeon HD 6900M Series VIDEO CARD MEMORY: 1.83 GB VIDEO CARD DRIVER: aticfx32.dll DESKTOP RESOLUTION: 1920x1080 HARD DISK SIZE: 489.61 GB HARD DISK FREE SPACE: 442.72 GB (90%) DOWNLOAD SPEED: 2.04 MB/s (16.3 mbps)
-snip-
Yes, that is currently normal, the game is unoptimized.
With grass on, constant 55FPS and without grass, averages 75FPS Windows 8.1 64-bit Processor: Intel i5-4670 @ 3.4GHz ("Ivy Bridge") RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600 Video Card: AMD Radeon 7850 2GB HDD: 1TB SATA 3 I play on 21.5" 1920x1080p monitor
not gonna work.. lowest possible settings and resolution not much more than 10 fps you need a dedicated midrange GPU to enjoy the game
Hey would you mind turning on your private messaging? I want to ask you some stuff but I don't want ti derail the thread :v:
I did a couple tests. There is literally no difference when i switch my graphics settings on rust literally no differences. My current build can run Battlefield 4 maxed out with around 60-80fps so rust has a lot of performance issues with it at the moment. I am kind of dissapointed in some of the people here.... As stated before I am using: Windows 8 Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU B980 @ 2.40 GHz 4.00 GB RAM (3,88 GB usable) Integrated graphics Intel HD Graphics (1664MB) It runs well enough to enjoy the game. For better performance I need to turn off grass but the game is playable nonetheless... I am getting the feeling some of you are so focussed on graphics and high fps while some people would easily be content with less.... Like Sphiinx said, turning graphics low doesn't really seem to work. Turning off grass does. I am not saying people should risk buying the game if they only have the minimum requirements, but if you really wanted to, you maybe could play it... Especially if you get more options to increase your fps... Note: I don't know what I consider playable FPS, I suspect mine should be about 20-30 it seems low, but enough for me.
yes probably though mobile cards are somewhat weaker than the desktop ones. medium with 30+ probably..maybe even on high... just make sure the game uses geforce instead of intel igp
how can i activate geforce?
how can i activate geforce?
im not really sure about how you do that on windows, but i think from nvidia control panel or something? google is friend also :)
