overheating and starting to throttle? running out of Ram and starting to Swap? i dont know you specs either.
Specs : i7 4700 8gb Corsair Vengeance GTX765M 500GB SSHD + 8GB SSD (hybrid) Full HD screen 1920 x 1080 Run on FANTASTIC, and like i said, the game starts wounderful around 60FPS, but as the time goes on while i'm playing, the FPS goes down until it gets around 20-25 FPS. Just bought this machine, and other games runs great at all times, except Rust. My grass is off just becouse i don't like it. Edit: Well, i lowered my resolution to 1600x900 and now i have FPS between 50~100, average 80 (tip for u guys)
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=219354044 Just letting y'all know this has probably been the most helpful guide for peeps with lower spec GPU's like myself(Radeon HD 5450) The things it mentioned in this guide cover the basics like performance tasks, defrag etc. etc. etc. to commands like env.clouds false, grass.on false, grass.displacement false and the like. I followed the most effective commands on this guide, lowered my resolution a few notches, and went from getting 10-15fps to 30-40 fps consisitently, making the game very playable, even if it's not total eye candy. I understand this is a "will it run" thread but I felt like a shout-out here was deserved because it was super helpful to my lower spec machine. Hope this helps you other Rusty Rapscallions.

I've tried finding information via google and reading through this thread. I'm at a loss as to why this game won't run above 10 FPS for me. All drivers are up to date. ---------------------------------- 01 - Operating System ---------------------------------- 0101 - Operating System : Windows 8 64-bit (6.2, Build 9200) (9200.win8_gdr.130531-1504) 0102 - Language : English (Regional Setting: English) 0103 - BIOS : 0901 0104 - Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz 0105 - Memory : 16384MB RAM 0106 - Available OS Memory : 16292MB RAM 0107 - Page File : 3193MB used, 15401MB available 0108 - Windows Dir : C:\Windows 0109 - DirectX Version : DirectX 11 0110 - DX Setup Parameters : Not found 0111 - User DPI Setting : 120 DPI (125 percent) 0112 - System DPI Setting : 96 DPI (100 percent) 0113 - DWM DPI Scaling : Disabled 0114 - DxDiag Version : 6.02.9200.16384 ---------------------------------- 02 - Processor ---------------------------------- 0201 - Caption : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz x8 ~3401MHz 0202 - Current Clock Speed : 800MHz ---------------------------------- 03 - Video Adapter ---------------------------------- 0301 - Card Name : NVIDIA GeForce GT 625 0302 - Manufacturer : NVIDIA 0303 - Chiptype : GeForce GT 625 0304 - DAC Type : Integrated RAMDAC 0305 - Device Key : Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_104B&SUBSYS_844C1043&REV_A1 0306 - Display Memory : 4047 MB ---------------------------------- 04 - Memory ---------------------------------- 0401 - Total Memory : 15.91 GB 0402 - Free Memory : 13.80 GB 0403 - Total Pagefile : 18.16 GB 0404 - Free Pagefile : 15.04 GB I know this isn't a "help" thread. No response...... OK
No response...... OK
I'd help you if I knew what was causing it... I recommend you PM a developer (like Helk or MaxofS2D.)

One hint for every laptop owner trying to improve Rust FPS: Go to the Nvidia Control Panel, and switch the graphics to performance maximized, instead of quality. It helped me A LOT. Also, make sure to force your Dedicated GPu setting the configurations to Global use of the GPU. Integrated sucks

CPU: Intel Pentium E5400 @ 2.70GHz GPU: 1024MB ATI Radeon HD 4670 Memory: 4,00GB (Since i have 32-bit system it only reads it as 3.25GB - that's what i'm worried about) Also my resolution is 1920x1080 Also, i have a mid 2012 MacBook air with i5 @ 1.8 GHz, 4GB ram and Intel HD 4000 could i run it on my laptop aswell ?

Mac and linux client arent well optimized atm as well.
Was kinda wondering if it will run with max FPS CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3230M @ 2.60GHz (3.2GHz with Turbo boost) GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT 730M with 4GB Dedicated VRAM 8GB RAM 15.6" HD LED LCD
yall dont even know whats up MB-Winfast 94 PCI express/sata compatible BIOS-Phoenix Award Workstation CPU-AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core GPU-MSI GeForce 210 512mb DDR2 OS-Windows Vista x32 RAM-2gb 1.5gb usable because os and stuff on lowest settings, i.e. grass.on false grass.displacement false rendering quality 0 i get like 10fps. havent tried manually setting the nvidia control panel to performance. im also running the gpu at base speed, i can probably overclock it to about 15% and still be good on temperatures. but why when i could just replace my ram with something decent(using 1x 1gb, 1x 512mb 2x 256mb) so that would benefit it in so many ways this rig is 9 years old and counting, been reformatted 3+ times so god knows how much corrupted and fragmented stuff is hiding in that HDD

Nothing is going to improve that, except maybe getting a new graphics card, the 210 is entry-level in its time, and severely outdated.
This is the setup i have for gaming on, below. This can maxx everything in-game @ 1920x1080 resolution. -Intel i7 2700k @ 3.5ghz -8gb ram ddr3 1333mhz -Asus GTX670 4gb DCII cooler -128gb SSD + 4x500gb hdd's I am just about to try out this game on my laptop (specs below). i will post my results in an hour or so): -Intel i7 3537u @2.0ghz dualcore with Hyperthreading, turboboost to 2.9ghz -Nvidia GT740m 2gb (128bit chip, not the 64bit) -8gb ddr 1600mhz ram -250gb Samsung SSD -1366x768 resolution 15,6" getting 28-45 fps in open areas with trees, animals, zombies etc.
My Gaming / Video Recording Setup - Intel i5 3570K @ 3.8GHz - 16GB G.SKILL RipJawss X Series 1600 Ram - 128GB Samsung 840 Pro Series SSD - 2 TB WD HDD - EVGA GeForce GTX 650 TI 2GB Runing in 1600 x 900 Resolution maxing everything out. Frapps running and recording at 30FPS .. when I turn off Frapps I get average 60 - 75 FPS some places more

Amd equivelant of BAD performance would be 6420, 6670m, 7670m, 7520m, 8570d and anything under these. stationary PC's will always perform better seeing they use more power/electricity, as well as the PC in itself consuming more wattage = more performance power.
How much FPS on Medium or High? (Laptop) Intel Core i7 4700MQ 8GB Memory NVIDIA GeForce GT 745M 1920 x 1080 Windows 8
