Don't count on it. Maybe 20 fps on absolute minimum
I just installed Rust on my PC. Pentium dual core 2.93 8GB ram Windows 7 with a Radeon 5450 512MB graphics card. Even with the graphics slider down to zero, the game is basically unplayable. Just wondering if upgrading to a Radeon 7730 2GB will cure my fps woes? Any comments would be appreciated.

It will help but i dont think you will be able to max it.
I'm not really worried about being able to max it. I'll be happy to be able to catch a pig to eat on low to mid settings. Right now it's so choppy that I literally can't catch anything to eat even with the video slider down to zero.

Well a more recent GPU should help, youshould be able to get to medium or high settings iwould think.
Amd a10-5750m laptop gpu 2.5 ghz with 3.5 ghz boost clock
8 gig ram 1600 mhz
How could i run rust at like 900p? maybe 768p?
Hi, how well could I run Rust on my laptop with these specs at medium settings?
OS - Windows 8.1 64bit
CPU - Intel i7 Quadcore 3632QM @ 2.20GHz - 3.1Ghz (Intel Turbo Boost)
Ram - 6GB
GPU - Nvidia GeForce GT 635m 2GB

Decent at best, maybe medium-high at native resolution.

How many FPS do you suppose I could get?
How many FPS do you suppose I could get?
60 or so on the aforementioned settings.
can my pc run this game and how much fps would I get at average on high settings and low settings
My pc specs
CPU-i5 4430
GPU-650 ti
RAM-8gb ddr3 ram
that's pretty much the important stuff

Will it run and how much fps would I get on highest to lowest
CPU-i5 4430
GPU-650 ti
RAM-8gb ddr3
OS-windows 7
Asus v3 something something
A10-4600m 2.3 ghz turbo 3.2 (stays at a steady 2.7 during gameplay)
6gb ddr3 ram
Amd radeon 7670m +7660g dual graphics
I hit a average of 30-35 fps with dual graphics disabled, simple quality, half render, grass off
Runs pretty well, cant complain, ill update when I test it with dual graphics. Havn't experienced any FPS drops, at absolute max, I hit 20fps solid, I'm running latest catalyst (probably decreases my performance honestly) I will try overclocking to see if there is any significant performance boost.

Should play solid at 60 fps or better, I would say.
How do you find out how mAny fps your machine is performing at?
how much do you think mine would get at lowest settings 768p? my native res is 900p btw

Should go above 60 FPS at lowest settings, you should be fine.
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20
6.00 GB RAM
Windows 7
GeForce GT 630 4GB
Intergrated RAMDAC
What kinda FPS am I looking at?

Not really sure, you got quite a lot of video RAM, but that's not a great card. Maybe medium settings at a solid 60 FPS, maybe better I am not sure.
Well there is 2GB dedicated video and 2 shared, if that makes a different. And I am currently only getting 30 solid at low settings.

Well if you are using shared memory that changes things, those settings sound about right with that setup and that card. I recommend upgrading your GPU and lowering resolution a bit.
What fps would i get ? on 900 p

Like I said, you should be fine on medium or medium-low on native res at around 45-60 frames.
Gfx settings on Fantastic 130+ fps on this:
Win 7 Enterprise 64bit
i7 2600K@4.5GHz
8Gb 1600MHz DDR3
Radeon 7970 3Gb @ 1150/5800
1920x1080 120Hz monitor tweaked for low-latency mode(3D frame sequence mode) and vSync off
sorrry i was on the wrong page and thought my original post didnt post lol
Not to be "that guy" but you failed to even notice im running way below the minimum required RAM in a resource intensive game and instead just told me to buy a graphics card or new computer. Running it on all highest settings is useless if my computer has to parse memory due to lack of thereof. In that sense low framerate is inevitable, if I would've taken your advice on the GPU(like most frugal gamers) I would've spent money and still had bad performance.
I run the game fine... No complaints there aside from hiccups when loading some dense areas. Just figured I'd toss that out there so you can better analyze and respond to said inquiries. Cheers and thanks for the input, got high hopes for this game and Its' vision.

What were your settings, I don't recall.
My settings are all on minimum in terms of graphics and effects. The specs were 1.5gb of usable ram on vista 32b, and the cheap 210 card. 800x600 resolution, theres no way i could play at my monitor's native res of 1360x768. Which is fine. By now I'm just beating the dead horse as this is a "Will it run" topic and indeed it runs. For this I am grateful, I don't even have to do the buggy skybox thing that I've seen others do.
Just feel that more active RAM would be undeniably good in this game, most new and even old 64b processors can handle upwards of 1000gb of memory. Then the GPU does become the bottleneck. I've seen what can happen to a client with thousands of dynels on a playfield in gmod even on top shelf setups. Ofc totally different platform IIRC rust does not use source and instead its' own unique engine.
The response is much appreciated though, I'll stop cluttering up the topic and let others get the help they need.

No no, it's alright, if anything, it goes to show I am no genius when it comes to that, I am mostly ballparking it, as I have said a few times before. If anything, your sharing your specs and results can help some people out here, that's what's important.
80-146 FPS with grass.on false
70-130 FPS with grass.on true
on Fantastic
Win 8 Pro 64bit
i5 4670k@3.4Ghz
16Gb 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
Radeon R9 290 4GB
1920x1080
little list of GPU perf, might be helpful for some (list is taken from steam hw survey)
All Results are estimates, 1920x1080 is considered, running lower resolution will increase the framerate
ofc decent CPU is needed as well, lets say anything from year 2007 and up (unless its celeron, atom or sempron) should cut it
3GB of ram should do it.. 4GB+ is optimal
