Make sure that you set the dedicated GPU to run rather than the integrated graphics. That should max it.

At night time I get around 60 fps but in the day hit a ceiling of 30 and lower.

Fyi I run the game smoothly with my piece of sh*t CPU: Intel Quad Core @ 2.00 Ghz RAM: DDR2 2GB GPU: Nvidia 8500GT OS: Windows 7 In lowest graphics of course,I rarely have problems especially since the last update.

Hi, I would like som feedback on my system. I currently run: windows XP: 32bit 3.3GB RAM (got 4mb but can only use 3,3 cause of 32mbit) ATI Radeon HD 5670 AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+ Motherboard: ASUS M2A-VM I did play yesterday with the lowest settings and 1920x1080 resolution. The game was running OK i guess, but I felt that the actual aiming for me was a bit sluggish. Now onto my questions! I bought a Radeon R9 270X 2GB that I will use, do you think my new graphic card will have a big impact? The biggest bottleneck for me is the motherboard. It only supports DDR2. Will I be better of running Windows 7 64bit so that I can make use of all my RAM? Or am I better of still using XP 32bit? Will that extra 700 RAM be that much of a difference? What do you think. Upgrade to Win 7 64bit or not?

If your rig can run most other games at a decent framerate, it can run Rust. However...that's not the problem, nor should it be the question. The question should be "Will my [I]exact[/I] rig run Rust?" Rust is not very demanding graphics-wise, it's just optimized like shit...so even if you do have a mid to even high-end gaming rig, that doesn't mean Rust will run decently on it.

I have an ASUS G55 Laptop 3610QM CPU - OC'd a little to 3.4 GTX 660M - OC'd to +135 core and +350 RAM 16GB DDR3 1600 - OC'd to 1750 128GB SATA 6 Mushkin SSD Windows 7 64 Right now I play at 1920X1080 on max and get about 30FPS during the day with the grass off and about 50-60FPS at night. My GF is running... Lenovo Y500 3620Q @ Stock GT750M - +135 Core and +300 RAM 128GB mSATA SSD Windows 7 64 This one plays at 1920X1080 on max with the grass off and is getting 24-25 during the day and 35 at night time. A acer laptop that contains: Intel HD 3000 Intel core i5 (2.4 GHZ) 4GB ram. 1TB Hard Disc - SATA - You said it runs on 15 fps, it's a bit worse. 10 FPS 2. A acer computer (Modified) that Contains: AMD athlon (dont know witch one precise but it is 3,2 GHZ) Nvidia GT220 - videocard 4GB ram 500GB Hard disc - SATA 250GB SSD -This runs around 20 FPS, but when playing assassin's creed wich has even better graphics it has 41FPS witch all is on medium. __________________________________________ Conclusion: So the one with the intel hd 3000 is like you said not playable. But the second one should be able to run it. I tryd doing the resolution lower witch plays it better but not reaching 30FPS. Only when i look at the sky or the ground it suddenly goes 50FPS. But does make sense. No physics or anything when looking up or down. I will try to get the grass gone, maby that helps. But still, can you look if it runs perfectly for me? Dunno why it goes so slow....

Dunno why it goes so slow....[/QUOTE] The reason is probably the video card, it's a very early card from the 200 series which on its own is out of date. I'd recommend giving it an upgrade.

Windows 7 64 bit AMD FX 8320 3.5ghz CPU 8 GB ram R9 270x Twin Frozr Gaming OC edition GPU M5a99x R Evo 2.0 motherboard 1 TB Western Digital HDD Playing on 1920x1080 I would run about 70+ FPS on the highest settings. One shitty thing is that my monitor screentears because it's only a 60hz and I need to enable Vsync, that makes me lag on servers with a lot of buildings and drops down to maybe 40-50 fps in heavy forested areas, but that's nothing to worry about if you don't need V-Sync.

I took the card out and the case off of it to clean out the heatsink, as there was some dust buildup. The fan is running fine as well, but I still receive overheating issues. The game runs at 80C+ all the time. I shouldn't be having any issues running this game whatsoever yet I do.

But yes, cleaning your card will certainly help too

Heya, just ordered a stock Dell laptop and was hoping it'd be able to handle rust better than my iMac. The specs below are base specs (I didnt customize anything cause I can't afford it) but I wanna make sure I'm not just wasting money. *Inspiron 15 (3537) BOX Base CPU: 4th Gen intel Core i5-4200U processor (3M Cache, up to 2.6 GHz, UMA) RAM: 6GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (4GBx1 + 2GBx1) GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4400 (this is my biggest concern haha) Also, I do play more than rust (team fortress 2, left 4 dead, portal, etc...) would this be okay for those games as well? Or should I really just cancel this order all together. Like I said, this is about as far as my finances can take me and I just mainly wanna make sure I'm not just wasting cash.

Those Source engine games will play fine though, it's hard to find a computer that can't run a source engine game :v:

Give it an upgrade.

Going to buy my brother a cheap used PC so he can play with me, this sound like it will be able to run with min 30fps? Don't mind too much if it has to be minimum graphics settings so long as the game is playable. ATI 5450 1GB AMD Athlon ll X2 3GHz 4GB DDR3 RAM Edit: will be on a 1280x800 monitor.

I wonder how many people are seeing issues that are due to their Internet connections rather than their CPU. I know if my net speeds drop (shit Surewest net) I start rubber banding and having the same issues some of these guys have. I'm playing on a laptop.... Intel Core i5 dual core 2.4Ghz 4Mb Ram Integrated video card My fps is low and I'm running on lowest settings but the game is playable. I'm going to be building a CPU starting this weekend and going for the next month as money frees up. Intel i5 4670K quad core @ 3.4Ghz 8Mb Ram GeForce 660 GTX 2GB GPU Probably start with a 120GB SSD HD and upgrade later Should run pretty decent

Not too big on the best graphics, just would like it to run a little more smoothly so I'm not aiming at something and I go to aim slightly right and miss my target due to chugging frame rate haha Again, thanks so much for the reply! :)

Overclocks comfortably to 4 GHz on a T4 cooler from Cooler Master, runs about 50-60 or so on heavy load. the 660 should be plenty as well, you should be able to max it no sweat there. As for the SSD I wouldn't recommend that for data storage, stick your OS on there and get a 750GB-1TB drive for data.
