My apologies. Chances are it's your graphics, that's really not a good one. Get a 660 or so instead.

Googling around, I can't find a GTX 240. Do you mean GTS 240, or GT 240?
Is there a way to get the game to run with grass off by default? I've tried to add the command grass.on false to Steam's client, but nothing happened when I logged in to the game.

The games runs smoothly set to the highest setting. I didn't even check what FPS I am getting, but there is no lag or choppiness or anything. Early on, I played on a couple servers that seemed to lag occasionally, but I think it was because of the server, not my PC, because I don't see any issues on the server I am currently playing on.

On my desktop PC:
35+ fps @1080p, grass.on false; env.clouds false, render quality about 1/4, game settings fast

Will it Run?
Ok, So I am unsure as to why I am getting 20ish FPS, then a full drop to 7FPS then it drops to 1 FPS and no FPS every 30 seconds or so. When I am running somwhere out in the open, It seems to freeze and drop frames altogether for a second or two, sometimes longer. It's BS when Im in a gunfight And I just up and Freeze due to low FPS. Here are my Specs, I know I have WAY more than recommended, I mean FFS I can run Crysis, BF3, and BF4 on Ultra and maintain a steady 50-80 frames per second.
Processor speed is 2.4 GHz rated at 4.2 GZz. 2 GIG Dedi video card Radeon R7 260X overclocked, Should be blasting through this game..

I doubt it, the Quadro is a work station graphics card not at all meant for gaming. Also what are you doing that is running that thing up to 70c :v:
I have a laptop with integrated graphics. I expect this game will run badly on it
Here are the specs:
OS: Windows 8.1
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210M @ 2.5 GHz (can be turbo-boosted to 2.9 I think)
RAM: 6 GB
Hard Drive: 1 TB
GPU: Intel(R)HD Graphics 4000 (crappy integrated stuff I know)
(x64-based PC)
Not expecting much on this one, as the integrated graphics mainly let it down.
Hi everybody,
I'm thinking to buy Rust, but I'd like to know if I'll be able to make it run. I know my specs are not good, but I'll accept to play it with limited details. I just wish to know if it can work, even with lowest possible graphic or if I don't have a chance.
here are the specs:
OS: Win 7 64 bit
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250 3.00 GHz
RAM: 4Gb
Graphic card: GeForce 9400 GT (512Mb)
Do you think will Rust work or I shouldn't even try it with that computer?
Thanks
Will it run?
OS:Win XP Home SP3
CPU:Pentium Dual_Core CPU E5700 3.00 GHz
RAM:2GB
Graphic card:AMD Radeon HD 6670
thx
Windows 7 Home Professional 64bit
Intel Core I7 3970X 3.5GHz (4.0Ghz Turbo)
64 GB DDR3 RAM (2400Mhz)
AMD Radeon™ HD 7990
500 MB SSD
Monitor - Idk
Average 320 Fps
Since this is the PC thread...any help on this would be much appreciated

I'm playing rust on a Alienware about 3 years old and I notice some texture popups , but besides that it runs smooth not sure on fps never checked but I do run it on max resolution specs are below.
Alienware i3 processor Windows 7 64bit Home Premium
12 gigs of DDR3 Ram
Geforce GTX 660 Ti
500 gig Hard Drive.
Now my question is I was thinking of purchasing this computer tomorrow as listed.
http://www.dell.com/us/p/alienware-aurora-r4/pd?oc=dpcwny2&model_id=alienware-aurora-r4
I will also be playing Rust on a 70 inch LED TV.
I want to know if the computer I'm thinking of getting will run Rust perfectly with no problems at all maxed out.
Will it fix my texture pop up? and rendering?
I dont want to spend over two grand unless it does.
Thank You
Here is my setup
Windows 7 Home premium 64-Bit
I7-4770k currently 3.5ghz
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 2048 MB
Asus z87-a motherboard
Samsung 250gb ssd (rust is here)
1 Tb hdd
8GB Riwpjaws (2x4Gb) 1600mhz
Monitor 23" Eizo foris fs 2332
FPS (using fraps): Fantastic settings minium 55fps near hangar forest, otherwise ALWAYS +60 fps
fantastic computer for good games such battlefield 3,4 and others

Why wouldn't you just build your own and save a shit ton?

Build your own and get a shit ton more performance for less money :) the AW rigs are wicked over-rated and over priced.
Also a 70 inch TV is the same as a 21 inch monitor if they are both 1920X1080 displays. Size doesn't mean anything, it's all about resolution.
If my computer meets all the requirements but has 3 GB, will it run?
If my computer meets all the requirements but has 3 GB, will it run?
It depends, post the rest of your specs just in case.
its mad looking at all these absolutely enviable specs, Jonnymad.
here's mine:
Intel 720QM ~ 1.66 GHz
8g DDR3 ram
ATI Mobility Radeon 5850HD
Spinning magnetic disc hard drives 1Tb
And I run this game at half graphics slider fidelity 1080P roughly 25 FPS (jitters up and down by 5-10 FPS)
To be honest I am severely impressed at how it runs and the quality of the graphics it outputs. My CPU is relatively slow yet I have no trouble where people with twice my spec are having problems.
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.2GHz
2gb DDR3 RAM
GeForce 610 GPU
I thought I wouldn't run Rust at all, but I get maybe around 15-25 Fps with a couple of freezes here and there, mostly rendering the bases that are built in the map.
First build actually:
Windows 7 64-Bit
8GB DDR3 Ram
EVGA GeForce 650Ti 2GB
AMD FX-4130 @ 3.8Ghz (But my motherboard underclocked it because of wattage reasons to 2.8Ghz, don't ask)
1 WD Hard Drive
Results: Able to run fantastic with grass off very smoothly. I was amazed on how games were running on my first build. I ran good with grass on very smoothly too (but oddly, I never tested grass on fantastic). Also, new PC user here (came from mac), what is a good application I can test my FPS with? I will download it once you reply and I will update the reply/make another reply.
Update 1: I had my graphics slider maxed out when doing the tests.
Update 2: Get around 35-55 FPS. I usually go towards 35 FPS in towns (specifically radtown) and around 55 FPS outside of towns.
what is a good application I can test my FPS with?
I used FRAPS to get the fps just now. It's a video capture software, but it overlays the fps while you play.
Win7 pro 32-bit
intel Core 2 Duo e8500 3.16 gHz
4 gb RAM (DDR3)
nVidia GeForce GT 610 (2 gb DDR3)
(factory defaults set on everything and no OC)
grass.off false
Graphics slider set halfway
1280 x 1024(native)
I am getting 14 - 18 FPS (I expected it to be this low.) It's playable and will do till I can afford a new power supply and video card.
