That's a laptop... You don't put a new graphics card in. Go buy a new computer, that I am almost 100% certain will not run it.
Oh, sorry I'm not very knowledgeable about computers.
Oh, sorry I'm not very knowledgeable about computers.
It's fine, I'd recommend buying a better computer.
It's fine, I'd recommend buying a better computer.
I might download the game onto a different laptop with a faster processor (2.2 ghz) and 8 GB RAM, is that better?
I might download the game onto a different laptop with a faster processor (2.2 ghz) and 8 GB RAM, is that better?
Probably not, it depends on the CPU and GPU that is paired with, do you know what it's running?
Probably not, it depends on the CPU and GPU that is paired with, do you know what it's running?
Windows 7
Windows 7
That's not a CPU or a GPU (Central/Graphics Processing Unit,) that is an operating system. A CPU should be called either Intel or AMD, and GPU should be called Nvidia or AMD. That's a very weak cpu and gpu, and your RAM is somewhat below the recommended.
Sorry, my CPU is Intel and the GPU is AMD
Sorry, my CPU is Intel and the GPU is AMD
Now we are getting somewhere, do you know which ones? The CPU should be a Core # (2 Duo, 2 Quad, i3,i5,i7); celeron, or pentium (those are the most popular ones,) and the GPU should be a Radeon HD ####
Radeon HD 6310 and i5 I believe
Radeon HD 6310 and i5 I believe
That's iffy at best, It should play but it's not going to play all that great.
Can i run Rust? Windows XP Intel (R) Pentium Dual Core CPU 1.8 2 GB Ram 1 TB Hard Drive Ati Radeon HG 5450 1GB
Can i run Rust? Windows XP Intel (R) Pentium Dual Core CPU 1.8 2 GB Ram 1 TB Hard Drive Ati Radeon HG 5450 1GB
Probably not, if you can it's going to look like crap. The 5450 is an entry level card nearly three generations behind the current, and 2 gigs of RAM really doesn't cut it for anything anymore. The pentium is a rather weak CPU as well, and at 1.8 GHz you REALLY can't expect much.
But @jonnymad what you say about that system req? http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=9210&game=Rust
Can i run Rust? Windows XP Intel (R) Pentium Dual Core CPU 1.8 2 GB Ram 1 TB Hard Drive Ati Radeon HG 5450 1GB
My brother has this exact graphics card with a 3.2 GHz CPU and 4GB RAM. For him Rust is only playable (barely, 20-25 fps) with minimum graphics, grass off, screen window downsized to 800x600 and the graphics card overclocked. Since you have a weaker CPU and less RAM your performance will be lower, at the absolute best I think you will be around 15 fps and that is completely unplayable.
Here's my laptop, not sure it'll make the cut. My son want to play this pretty badly. Intel i7 CPU Q 720 @ 1.60GHz RAM 6.0 Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Not sure what else you might need. Thank you in advance.

Will give it a try. I've had it a few years. Maybe it's time to get my son a gaming machine.

As a benchmark for low voltage CPU's. I have: i7 4th gen 4500u with integrated HD 4400 graphics 8 gigs ram, 256 g SSD This is probably the best specs you can get for an ultrabook at the moment that doesnt have a dedicated GPU. It runs OK at around 20 fps. It has a slight mouse movement lag that is not good with FPS games, and at the time it had a 1 second freeze or stutter every 20 seconds or so. Second game I play in the vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Cfi78vLRH0

Hey, here's my pc that i built a few months ago; Windows 7 8GB RAM CL9-2133mhz intel i5-4670k (clocked @4.2ghz) GeForce GTX 760 1tb seagate hdd Result: Does a great job, Maxed out mostly ~90 fps avg. drops down to 60 sometimes which isn't even noticable. Though i play at 1360x768 resolution cause im using my 32'' TV screen when playing.
Bracing for the no, but here goes. My friend really wants to play this game w/ me, but has a laptop w/ integrated graphics. (Intel HD 4000) He's running a decentish processor, i5 3210m, w/ 6gb ram. If he's playing at like 720p at lowest settings do you think he can pull 30fps? Unity works w/ any gpu that supports Directx 9 Shader Model 2.0, but I know that's not all Rust has to offer/needs to be considered. Thanks for your time!
I play rust at 30-40 fps with 800x600 and console options :D
awesome :P Want to share the console options you used? :)
Running 32gbs of ram A i7-370k 2X Titans 3Tb hdds in raid only 5 fps
For those asking about older systems and being told No, to old, The truth is for now Rust is not as demanding as it will be in the future. I have a friend using an AMD 5400 AM2 CPU (very old), 2GB Ram (1.99 after system), and an AMD 6670 GPU (entry level, no power requirements). The game runs fine. They turn off grass to get a small boost in performance, but overall it works to play the game, hunt, and build. The only problem they encountered was with the clock desync problem, but once XP was changed to use the alternate timing source it's been flawless.
awesome :P Want to share the console options you used? :)
Yes, Sure. When i play 1024x700 i run 20-30. The option is this: gfx.ssaa False gfx.bloom False gfx.grain False gfx.ssao False gfx.tonemap False gfx.shafts False gfx.damage True grass.on False grass.forceredraw False grass.displacement False grass.disp_trail_seconds 0 grass.shadowcast False grass.shadowreceive False input.mousespeed 5.323827 input.flipy False input.bind Left A LeftArrow input.bind Right D RightArrow input.bind Up W UpArrow input.bind Down S DownArrow input.bind Jump Space None input.bind Duck LeftControl None input.bind Sprint LeftShift None input.bind Fire Mouse0 None input.bind AltFire Mouse1 None input.bind Reload R None input.bind Use E None input.bind Inventory Tab None input.bind Flashlight F None input.bind Laser G None input.bind Voice V None input.bind Chat T None render.distance 0.2 render.frames -1 render.vsync False sound.music 0.4779704 sound.volume 1 water.level -1 water.reflection False footsteps.quality 2
Will i run it? I have HP probook 4530s. Specs: Intel Core i3 2310M Sandy Bridge, RAM 4GB DDR3, AMD Radeon HD6490M 1GB, Windows 7 Thanks.
intel i5 4670k 8gb of ddr3 ram 250gb ssd for very fast loading times. gtx760 oc fps: min 60 max 120 avg 100 laying @1080p friends setup Intel Core i7 3770K 32gb of ddr3 ram amd 7990 <--- $1000 dollar card plays worse than a $400 card seems legit fps: min 35 max 65 avg 55 playing @1080p guess Amd Isn't very optimized for rust yet his rig is also overkill I teamviewered his computer drivers and everything are fine and the game is running from the card also the card gets very hot from the game which is odd. when he plays other games like bf4 getting 120 fps and i get 60-80. same settings and all
