get a better gpu something midrange and you are set
with thatone you wont get more than 20 fps with minimum settings ..most likely around 10 fps
i5 3570k intel 4000hd
8gb ram
850w corsair psu

These are the parts I have at the moment, my gpu is a AMD asus matrix Platinum 7970 but it came in as a dud and is in replacement for like two weeks and it'll probably take another two weeks and possibly more due to the shot RMA services in my country do you think I can play with these specs and intel integrated 4000 HD.
not really.. lowest settings 10 fps... might go up to 20 in some places
waif for your dedicated GPU and then you can play with max detail and 60+ fps
Kubuntu linux 12.10
Environment: Openbox + Razor-qt
64bit
nVidia 650GTX using closed drivers
Intel CPU i3
Intel chipset H67
4G Ram
Runs fine initially but as the playing time goes on, caching happens - likely 4G ram is not enough or some memory leaks
An Opteron is a SERVER-CLASS CPU! No one owns those things you weirdo. And I never claimed to be a genius, I am gauging performance on my own personal tests. I find it slightly hard to believe that you can actually run it with that graphics card too, but I will take your word for it.
It's the same exact equivalent to the AMD X2 4800+
this is socket 939 from 2006.
Also i tried the Beautiful setting and it ran exactly the same as the good setting, averages around 39fps.
Why is it hard to believe a 4850 runs this game? an 8800gt will run crysis and crysis 2 on near high, and this card is a bit better.
This game does not compare to the heavy hitter games that were released during 2007 (I mean graphically wise). Feel free to do your research on the 8800gt (pretty sure that's a common card today), and see how it actually performs, (the 9800gt is a rebrand of the 8800gt, and the gts250 which is a rebrand of the 9800gtx+) nvidia likes re-branding 2007 technology
a good idea of if you can run or not would be here.
Say the guy has an radeon hd 4200, http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+4200 it scores a horrid score. It's a workstation card.
An 8800gt should run this, it scores around 700, a 4850 will run this (personally tested it) http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+4850 it scores around 1000
So your card has to score around 800ish at least in order to run this (of course you need the CPU and ram as well)
But this should give everyone an idea. Go on that site, if your card is scores over 800, you should be able to run it on the good setting
For the CPU benchmark http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php, you should score at least 1000.
So if you have for example an Intel Pentium D 3.00GHz, with a 7900gto like the guy previously had, his cpu score is 649 and gpu score is 249, which I'm assuming would run at 10-15fps..but i have no idea

Well, if you think you know so much, can I ask you to lurk and help give out information? I know a medium amount about computers, but like I said, regarding this, I kinda have to gauge performance based on my own tests up above.
NVDIA GeForce GTX 570

will it work? if yes how will it work :D?

You'll be fine, should play maxed.

I only tried it on 32 bit windows XP. If there are any features in unity that are enabled in windows 7/8, it could be halving performance..such as the grass flickering.
Having some issues with the game, slightly confused as to what they could be. Here's what I'm working with:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Phenom X6 1045T@2.7Ghz
8Gb RAM
ATI Radeon 5570
I know my system is starting to get rough around the edges (especially my GPU), but this seems a little drastic. I've had to knockdown my resolution to 1368x768, play on 'fastest', plummet in-game rendering to zero and turn off the grass, all to maintain barely 25 fps. Is this just early alpha shenanigans or is it time to for some upgrades?
This guy should should be getting more fps.
Running it in full screen would give a slight boost since windows prioritizes foreground applications.
This guy should be running this with ease. Try messing with your CATALYST A.I settings, put it on standard, then advanced, then turn it off completely. catalyst AI is ATIs driver level optimization for textures and it sometimes conflicts with some games

No, that integrated GPU will not do. You should be able to play, but it will not be very smooth.

Low settings should be playable, maybe 40 fps.

Unless you have a top-end GPU, there's no way you're playing on those specs.

Completely maxed no issues, 760 is a powerful card, I ran one when I had an Athlon II in my system, and the game ran maxed.

the first one should be able to run it..
I don't know jack about APU's but the first laptop appears to be pretty decent I think you'll run it without major issues. I don't know how APU's perform first hand though

On lowest setting and grass off I am able to reach up to 50 fps but usually around 20-40. I am probably getting a AMD Athlon II X4 645 3.1 Ghz Processor for Christmas so I will update after I get that installed. (Wished I could get a better processor but my motherboard only supports AM3 sockets and 95w TDP).

Ah thanks man, I've been nervous about it ever since I found out I can only play AC Black Flag at 30fps on lowest possible settings.
Edit: On a unrelated note, for some reason AC Black Flag was using integrated graphics. Now that I fixed that its played on max setting.

They perform like shit, I got one in my laptop.

OH YEAH! That reminds me, careful on rust, it is notorious for having this issue as well (defaulting to integrated.) (Shit, didn't mean to double post :v: usually it goes in as an edit line...)
Hi! Great thread for noobs like me! :)
I am lagging like crazy but my friend said that it should run fine.. Please help :)

Your CPU is not excellent for gaming, but the GPU should be able to max out the game. Are you sure the game is not using the Intel graphics and not your GPU because that may be the problem.

Are you guys sure the 4000 hd isn't good enough? I don't want to go a hour long distance to pick up my motherboard then, but I read it can run games like me3.

I have tried to check that. But when i open the Nvidia control panel and try to change it for rust, i only have two options. The middle tab where you can choose wich one to use isn't there.. :(
Win7
I5 2500K 4.0 GHz
HD7850 Crossfire (the game wont support it so it wont effect anyway)
8GB RAM Corsair 1600MHz
120GB SSD
On high i get around 70~60 depends on Mob count and when heavy fire drops to 50~45
Has anyone got a 9800GTX+ and if so what FPS and settings do they run on?
Will My computer run?
Windows 8.1

lol "not excellent for gaming". That CPU is perfectly capable
A small demo should've been released so people can try it first hand (just run around with most of the functions nerfed)
I can run Crysis on max, albeit getting a bit hot.
8 GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GT 425M 4GB
Intel i7 Q740 @1.75 GhZ

Why even ask? You can easily run Rust maxed out at 1080p
