I don't understand people like you either. I am disgusted with ads. I never want to see them. I do not care what they are for or who gets the revenue. I have donated to may sites and if a site I regularly use has a pro function, I purchase it. If a site doesn't have a pro function or doesn't accept donations, too bad, they aren't getting ad revenue from me. Using ads to pay for site costs is like murdering people to fix overpopulation. Yes, that's an extreme analogy, but it's the ratio that counts, not the magnitude.
Also, Adblock Plus blocks YouTube video ads as well.
