In the military, having members use everything from hand signals to headsets is common practice. You don't ask a buddy of yours to fucking jump in real life to see if it's him.
We have none of that, the closest would be to use TS, Skype, Raidcall, or any other voice chat program.

You need to calm your shit, seriously. If you think I'm mad at you for a post, you can't be very mature.
And the jump thing is silly, sure, but that's the only way to identify people from a long range. This is also true with popping a flare. If you're off solo, you most likely aren't going into be TS with people and stuff so you can't hear them when they tell you to jump or crouch. Typing longer messages is seriously dangerous in this situation because you're vulnerable.
