Is there a problem between EAC and Logitech software?

While you yourself do not encounter this, it's useless to prove something.
Rapists say that they never raped anyone. Or are you dumb?
I do not want to offend you, but is there no false accusation in court?Personally, I have a lot of innocent people behind bars in the country
I don't want to offend you either, but its because the court of your contry is very very corrupt (for the record - I was born in Minsk), not because the court "makes mistakes". There is a huge difference between mistakes and corruption.
Being "corrupt" is a crime. Making mistakes (honest mistakes) is just being un-skilled and uneducated. Its not a crime.
If you'd like to make a claim that EAC is corrupt, and "gives out false bans on purpose" (specifically for Logitech) - that a whole different subject...and a whole different accusation...
I think that EAC forbids those whom facepunch wants to prohibit. So for example, for playing with cheaters got banned 2 acquaintance people. At first EAC tell them that its not their ban,but in 4 days, eac told that u got banned for using cheat software. In this game, if you do not have contact with the administrators and you get a ban you have no chance to contest it.
As I told you, you can not believe me, and I myself did not believe anyone who received the ban until he himself received it.
"I ... dont have the slightest clue how to even cheat, I'm not that computer oriented sha'll we say"
Nice steam account for the one who's not that oriented. Steam Community
You also have ban in GTA V don't you? https://www.mpgh.net/forum/search.php?searchid=37402657
If you use macros, or scripts with your mouse you will be banned, if you play with hackers you may be banned....
This is also not the right area for Logitech I was banned for nothing threads!
I see that because of the amount of things said about LG bans on the forums. I have no doubt that many are bs but not all are. I myself have been banned for Lg software because when I messaged EAC they said I scripted or had a macro but I never hacked or ever had a macro all I had was the volumeand DPI changer on the mouse. (and sure not ALLLLLL bans are LG but many INNOCENT BANS are)
This all seems really silly to me. I've suspected some fishy stuff going on with bans lately. I don't really like the argument, there's no evidence of you being innocent, because he shouldn't have to prove he's innocent. They should have to prove he's guilty of cheating. Banning loads of people without needing to give them a reason is really screwy to me. If people script, yes, they deserve to be banned. If they do anything to give an unfair advantage then yeah, ban them. But lately i'm under the impression that people are being falsely banned or banned for something they didn't know was a bannable offense.
So I did some more research on this, because I was really curious.
Turns out most macros out there require you to have a DPI control/changer and work well (are optimized) for Logitech. This makes sense now that 3 things can be postulated to be true (or partially true):
1) Majority of scripters (cheaters) use Logitech, and DPI adjustment, as that is the requirment for cheating - hence why we see all the "claim of innocense for using Logitech" - as most get rightfully banned with it.
2) When somebosy who is not "in the know how" reads about Logitech issue, it seems to them that something fishy is going on, since righfully so - there is alot of Logitech bans (well, they are the best mice for "cheating" apparently) @Jaco - you may be in this group. Just saying, no disrespect meant.
3) It is possible that EAC is aware that Logitech is a big culprit for scripters/cheaters - so they are trying hard to target and ban Logitech users. However, not all software is perfect, and they are getting some (little) false positive bans, especially for those use use DPI changer (as that is a component of most scripting hacks).
Statistically - if you ban a lot of Logitech users (lets assume the bans are legit), and 10% are false positives. Well, 10% of a large cheater playerbase - can create a (false) presumption that there is something going in "against" logitech. When in reality we're just seeing bias, due to the fact that most cheaters/scripters use Logitech for actual cheating.
All in all Im happy with the research I did, and I think that the "Logitech excuse" is just being used as a scapegoat now, as every cheater is trying to hype it up, and ride the hype train. I accept the fact that there might be some False Postive bans, but majority must be legit - since apparently Logitech (and DPI change in particular) is a big component in script-cheating.
No i'm not in that boat lol Honestly, I don't really know a whole lot about scripting or using any kind of hacks. I've always been 100% against that and I take great pride in how well I can play without any help. I even played on a server where an admin went undercover and was helping us out and I ended up leaving the group because I don't play like that.
I really didn't have an opinion or get involved until one of the admins on my server got banned. I knew right then and there something was wrong because this dude is a trustworthy guy and bans people all the time for cheating. He's completely dumbfounded and doesn't understand why he is banned. I asked him if he uses Logitech and he said yes, so I am under the assumption that he isn't aware of the issues with it.
Either way, it probably would have been nice if they specifically made an announcement that anyone using Logitech or what not will be EAC banned if they continue to use it. Like I said, I don't know much about it, but I do feel like there is something fishy going on with some of these bans.
I agree with you most bans are usually legit but right now if DPI is a thing that scripters use, what could be said about just a normal DPI button. I know that many hackers probably do use the excuse that it was an LG mouse that got them banned but in my case and maybe in Jaco's friends case I feel as if their is an issue with false bans being handed out because EAC notices a DPI switcher and might think its a macro.
I think you're misunderstanding me. That is exactly what I was saying - you're not the type to hack (at least not in my book) so you're not in the "know how" (i.e you don't know hacking tricks). Hence when you look at the Logitech and any bans that "seem" to be out of the ordinary - that seems unusual to you. However you don't know (may know) that Logitech has a nice DPI switch, and you don't know that DPI switch is required for scripting Macros. Anyway - I was making a compliment that you're a good guy and not a hacker. And because of that I concluded that you were a victim of "observer bias" - i.e something doesn't make sense to you, because your not involved much in that type of play (hacking/scripting). Again - take this as a compliment man
Ok yeah I feel you. But if you don't know that guy personally (in RL), its really hard to tell. I should not be the one telling you that. Even "nice people" on the internet could have dark secrets. Not saying that he is a hacker, but there is always a possibility that maybe he was using scripts here and there once in a while, or maybe he got really mad once at someone, and finally caved in and used scripts. Its totally possible that it was some weird kind of a false positive. We'll never know.
The phrase "I asked him if he uses Logitech and he said yes, so I am under the assumption that he isn't aware of the issues with it." - irks me a little, because there is nothing "wrong" with Logitech mice or software. It just so happens to be on the top list of some/most no-recoil scripts and Logitech did a good job in making a good DPI switch. (Kudos to them btw). There is nothing inherently wrong with the company, the mouse (hardware) or the software. Do you get me? Its like saying that most criminals in Europe use BMW/Mercedes as their getaway cars, and most shootings are committed with a "Glock" type pistol. That does no mean that there is anything wrong with the Glock, or BMW - it just means that they are good at what they do. And they can be misused (unfortunately).
They would never make that announcement, just like police will never say that they will arrest anyone without any proof who owns a Glock pistol. Everything has to have its legal "due process". Same thing with Logitech mice and software. There is nothing wrong with it. Its amazing. Too amazing that some scripters made good scripts. But that does not warrant any kind of announcement (not to mention that Logitech could probably sue for defamation, or spoil public relations with EAC in some other way - if such an announcement was made). Life is complex my friend
EAC might "scrutinize" anyone with DPI switches. I think its foolish of them to hand out bans just based on DPI switch, there's gotta be more to it. EAC never released any inside info on how they handle investigations and/or bans - So anything else we say will be pretty much just baseless speculation
Yea well whatever it is I hope they fix it with the bans that came along because we can always speculate on what happened but at the end of the day its down to them and I hope they see this. Thanks for the good talk I bet that many others who would see this would just call me a hacker and leave.
@captainrussia Yeah I am probably just a little ignorant on the subject cause like I said I don't really know much about all that stuff. The thing is, neither does my friend. lol He is so confused about it and I've had to do the research cause he just isn't sure where to even start. I don't know him in real life, but I've known him for a long time on here. He was an admin on the Dark Ages medieval server for a long time, then I asked him to admin for me on my servers. I would be completely shocked if it ever came out he was hacking, but it would take some strong evidence of me ever believing he is capable of doing that, cause he's very much like me.
Also, don't worry, I didn't really take anything you said negative, I was just explaining myself which probably wasn't needed, but I take great pride in my game play and wanted to state that.
