• Rust crash after 1809 windows update or on of the last/latest update.

I have 1067 hours in this game. More then half of this i played on gtx 860m and everything works fine. I bought new laptop like half year a go with 1050TI and game work a lot of better. I also use ThrottleStop and MSI afterburner. But for some 3 weeks i can't play this game anymore. When i joining to server, rust crash before the world has been loaded or some in about ~half an hour of playing. My spec: i5-7300HQ 8GB RAM 1050TI ADATA 240GB M.2 PCIe XPG SX8200 My rust settings: https://imgur.com/a/TZZOmlJ What I did to fix the game: Reinstall Rust and steam. Increased virtual memory up to 6500. Run Memtest and windows memory test twice time. <Everything was okay.> Uninstall latest windows update. Reinstall .NET Framework and DirectX. Reinstall nVidia drivers. Turn off ThrottleStop and MSI afterburner. Increase virtual memory up to 16384MB, restart your computer, and try again.
Hmm, everything work fine now. Why i haven't this problem before? I playing rust almost 3 years.
You were running out of memory and running out of virtual memory. When Rust then asked for more memory the computer had absolutely none to give and the only thing Rust can do then is shut down. You updated Windows, there have been game updates. For whatever reason everything is more demanding on your memory. Also make sure you shut down any browsers or other non-essential programs to free up more memory for Rust, because you have only the minimum amount of RAM.
