anyone have a download of craggyisland?
Legend Killyou thanks for releasing this
Its weird. For some reason my servers aren't generating .map files anymore.
I really like what you have so far. I'd love to see this continue to be maintained. I'm currently trying to import height maps and it's not going to hot. I'm trying to either make a Globe map or a map of Great Britain and neither are turning out very well. They are either very high mountain wise or are underwater entirely. Knowing how the height map is calculated to properly format the images and enter in settings during import would be fabulous! Thanks and keep up the good work!
Fantastic!
Any way of spawning areas of trees? When i try and drag a tree out to spawn it it's invisible. Anyway i can just draw a forest-y area and it auto spawn trees?
Craggy Island Map does not generate a Map file... you will need to use the Seed and Worldsize for Craggy..which I think is +server.worldsize 1024 +server.seed 1778924096
Ah Thank you. Do you know what it is for SavasIsland?
maybe this one +server.worldsize 4000 +server.seed 1778924096
Hi ya. Unfortunately it looks like the procgen algorithm has changed too much to result in CraggyIsland with that seed https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/736/80056a76-7368-4eed-ab76-72f2c1e138c7/image.png
Heyho ! There is a bug, where you paint the terrain, switch to alpha, switch back and it change to black colour (no texture). As mentioned before: Nice work dude ! Love it ! Greetings Raphael
loving the map editor so much fun, quick question is there a way to remove the smoke effect on the bunkerrooms while editing? i can't really see what i'm doing?
Thank you very much, this is very exciting! Does this tool have multi-language support? For example, Simplified Chinese?
When will topology be added? I need to fill my barren lands with trees
Huh? It always had topology maps.
yes.. with the editor.. you will need to add the Biomes (arid, temperate..ect.) and  Topology areas on the map for like Forest, Fields, Beach..etc etc.. then it will auto spawn trees,, grass...etc... in those areas.
Seems like Terrain Paint functionality works not correct. When i add topology area for example beach, then switch to other topology and switch back to beach map is black. So topology doesn't saves. So without topology we couldn't specify spawn area. I think this critical issue for creation maps from scratch.
ummm.. Every time i've tried this it does not work. I even told k1lly0u and he said it'd be fixed in the next release
Anyone found a temp fix for topology? Trying to get some trees/nodes on my map
k1lly0u's Standalone Map Editor - bad idea for topology and terraing editing.Using dezinated's sdk for this. And k1lly0u's Standalone Map Editor broke my topology map. Thanks
I'm using k1lly0u's Standalone Map Editor for creation map with height map and terrain editing and place rad-towns. then i"m open map in Dezinated's sdk and drawing topology. after saving - rad-towns still on map. but I test this only with one small rad-town. i don't known how it will works with many rad-towns etc.
Any way to mess with water levels on new maps? thanks
how did you place those trees? as in what section were they in?
Can I make rivers in this ?
@k1lly0u , maybe you could share project sources with us? Or maybe if you have possibility to share sources in private messages with me? Or maybe you could place it to github.com etc.
"share project sources" - so everybody can adjust it and make their own versions based on the work someone else did, don't think so. Just have patience
Just signed up to Facepunch forums to say thanks for this awesome looking map editor!
Where do you get you height maps? Thanks
@BigDrewskii , you could draw your height map, by your self. If you want to create map with size 1000, then you need to create picture with size 1000x1000 pixels, in image editor (for example Paint.NET) - where black its 0 height and white this maximum height. And them load this picture in map editor.
