All Gameloft games for 0.99$ right now on Android Market.
I know it is, but an alternative would be RealPlayer Beta https://market.android.com/details?id=com.real.RealPlayer Sure it's in Beta and hasn't been updated in like almost 2 months but it just works for me. It's just that there are so...
It's amazing how shitty the carriers in the US are. Really, you'd think the US has the best possible mobile carriers and internet providers, but when you actually check them out you see how terrible they are. I feel sorry for you guys, maybe one day you can get proper carriers...
GTA3 1.1 fixed it for SGS users. Just need to use Chainfire3D drivers and tick the reduce texture quality thingy. This way the game runs 100% smooth. Only bug is no sound.
Which one you guys would be a better choice for my mother, Galaxy Ace or Gio? Or neither? If so, what would you recommend? Thanks.
No, it freezes on all SGS's, no matter what rom you got.
GTA III crashes on my Galaxy S :( Just black screen and the phone freezes.
Do specific ROMs need specific kernels? I have Stock Extra for SGS with Semaphore 1.8.2. Can I install any other kernel that support JVT?
Any word on ICS for SGS I/Captivate?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1338636
Is it possible to install CM7 without flashing a new kernel? I really like Semaphore with its Voodoo Sound, BLN, so would be great if I could stay with it.
Can anybody explain the follows terms? I tried googling but nothing helped: CIFS Conservative (conservative governor module) Deadline (deadline I/O scheduler module) TUN 50MB Virtual cache Kernel Scheduler VM Dirtyness Thanks in advance.
Finally found a real stock+ ROM without much custom stuff
Nice, thanks for the rom. This ROM + EXT4 + Universal Adrenalin Shot improved my Antutu score by 300.
Well fuck. I overclocked my SGS and not it won't boot. It shows the shows the Samsung logo and shit, then the big S and then reboots again. What do? :|
What if I backup using the CWM Recovery backup/restore thingy? Or it's a shitty backup tool?
This probably has been asked before lots of times, but what app should I use to backup all my data before reflashing a rom and then restoring it all?
Is it possible to add languages to Samsung's Keyboard in the Galaxy S? I've found some topic in XDA, but it appears to apply only to 2.2 and 2.1 and I'm on 2.3.4, so I guess it will not work for me.
This probably has been answered before, but how do I change the default homescreen on my SGS? Google showed quite a bit results, but neither seem to work. Ive yried editing default.prop but it seems to restore itself after a reboot. Im on 2.3.4 stock rom, so it would be nice ...
Anyone had luck running psx4droid on their phone? It seems to just return to the rom selection menu just after I select one. I've read in the comments that it's a common problem, but maybe someone has a solution?
Fucking great. Guess Google is advocating piracy then.
How the hell do I use PayPal to buy apps in the market? Can't find the option anywhere.
get a kernel with Bln support or just get no led which is easier
No LED is pretty fine, but for some reason it keeps displaying the clock, even though I disabled it in the settings.
What I'm really missing from my HTC Touch Diamond 2 is the LED indicator. Is there any app for the Galaxy S to make, for example, the back/menu buttons blink or something when I receive an SMS or have a missed call?
Indeed I'm going to replace my old phone + iPod Touch combination with only my new Galaxy S. Will feel great to carry less devices.
I now have a Galaxy S. I'm not rich enough to getting anything newer/better, but I'm happy with it.
Short answer: no. Long answer: No, no, never, not unless it's free.
Care to elaborate? What about a HTC Desire for the same price?
I can get a used SE Xperia X10 for 150 euros. Seems to be in perfect condition. Is it worth it? I've been looking for an Android phone for quite some time and I'm really low on budget as you can see.
