iirc they've mentioned they want to but aren't good enough to and would have to train for DMC playthroughs
it does get more serious later, yes i felt the same way about the first episode but it grew on me and got pretty addicting to watch even before the darker arcs
as a character he's okay, but as a playstyle he's my favorite of the group 4's story is pretty messy in general though, everything being rubber bullets or bullet vests started getting pretty farcical towards the end
i havent had much interest in oh sees' previous work but smote reverser was a banger
personally i was really disappointed with 6's combat, the series had been getting tighter and tighter in terms of combat from 1 all the way to 0 but then 6 throws all of that out the window and goes for that weird physics heavy combat while i do agree the series' gameplay need...
yes, he's even a part of the story mode
here's some jazz Mouse on the Keys - Japanese jazz fusion / math rock Date Course Pentagon Royal Garden - Japanese jazz-rock Otomo Yoshihide's New Jazz Quintet - Japanese free jazz (he also has a bunch of other experimental jazz groups) Hiromi Uehara - Japanese jazz fusion Sh...
it was just lollipop chainsaw ep2, they reuploaded it to fix some audio issues (which i didn't even notice in the original)
the best parts are the york shin arc (39-58) and the chimera ant arc (76-136) especially the latter, though it's a lot slower paced but the writing is great
it's a remake that adapts more of the manga than the 1999 version does (and also way faster, the old version really drags from what i've heard) there isn't really much reason to watch the 1999 version unless you have nostalgia for it
hunter x hunter is fantastic, it starts off very cookie cutter shounen but keeps getting better as it goes along assassination classroom i enjoyed a lot at first but it got very repetitive and predictable very quickly and the writing tends to not be great
i've heard of an anime called Dragon Ball Z, but i've never heard of anything pretty cool called Dragon Ball Z
pop music has become more effective at appealing to what the general populace wants if you want more complex songwriting you'll have to look outside pop music
i havent watched that video but i can believe him saying some really dumb nitpicky stuff in it, his YMS videos (just titled YMS: movie name) are mostly nitpicking for entertainment rather than his proper reviews (titled as quickies or reviews) his toy story 3 YMS video especia...
that's fair, i agree that movie review channels in general should stop forcing themselves to watch and review every star wars and marvel movie just because they're popular and people will keep nagging on asking their opinions on them if they dont and about the pixar thing is h...

i tend to watch movies he recommends because so far all of them have been at least interesting i wouldn't be discouraged from watching a movie i was interested in if he didn't like it though
i agree his views on the incredibles 2 are weird, but i dont think that invalidates his other reviews recently he has given Burning and Under the Silver Lake both 8/10 and Isle of Dogs and The Phantom Thread both 9/10 he rarely gives movies 9s or 10s just like he rarely give...
that sounds like a lot of projecting to me, because i think it's more likely he just doesn't really care for MCU movies because they tend to be bland and formulaic
it's #1 in the Magical Girls recommendations in the OP, i think that says a lot about the general concensus
yes and no, stuff does happen but the show is always centered around people just talking
no, it's the fusion of bob and hawk... bawk https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/1752/16ee1d62-209a-4000-95b3-9ae5fa954d25/kuva.png
i completely agree with your opinions on the TV ending and EoE even though i watched them almost back to back, EoE felt really gratuitous and i had a hard time getting immersed into it because of how much it kept trying to shove shock value in your face i still think it's a v...
the first episode of chio's school road finally came out and even though the animation's pretty cheap, the voice acting is great and they did a good job adapting the manga's comedic timing definitely recommend checking it out
while the hitboxes in the NST version are worse, the controls themselves are much improved you have much better air control in NST and you can even change direction while spinning, unlike in the original it's a matter of taste whether you prefer more control with harder jumps ...
it's a nice video otherwise but i started getting annoyed at how much he reuses the same video clips over and over
of course http://puu.sh/AQaTP/eb3f64df99.gif
and so ends megalo box i can already see some fans being pissed about the ending, but personally i felt it was satisfying it's definitely more of a drama show than an action show, and it shows
i've always heard "thicc" refer specifically to thick thighs rather than fat in general
akira's soundtrack is one of the best movie soundtracks ever it works flawlessly both as a soundtrack for the movie that fits its tone and scenes without being intrusive, but also works fantastically as standalone music the combination of (at the time) modern MIDI instrumentat...
awesome, i'm really enjoying golden kamuy, i'm so glad the next season is so soon
there is something innately hilarious about woolie and liam talking over dialogue in nier automata, a game that has really good story and dialogue, but woolie and pat keeping completely quiet during cutscenes in god hand, a game that has the best worst and dumbest story and di...
the most underrated boy
to be fair, the walls disappearing when the camera gets close to them is intentional to make sure nothing gets in the way of your view during combat it's necessary especially considering you have no camera control
my bad, my brain just completely skipped over the "not" for some reason
you're gonna have to wait until the blurays then, because the TV broadcast of that will be 80% black screen
i really like the music on the new death grips album but the sound quality and awful mixing ruin the second half for me
they have yes, but they luckily change some of the worse ones like Pearl Jam being Pole Jam instead of Opal Jam (???) so we'll most likely get Sticky Fighter or something for Sticky Fingers instead of the absolute disaster that is Zipper Man
oh right, i forgot localizations have to keep changing the names hopefully we won't get anything as bad as zipper man in the crunchyroll subs
i'm not that big a fan of vento aureo and stone ocean but considering how much better part 3 worked in anime form it's very likely i'll enjoy both of them more as anime steel ball run is almost as good as part 4 though so i'm looking forward to that as well
i havent been keeping up with detroit anymore because whenever i think about detroit i remember how utterly dull and boring both kara and markus' stories are they're not good but they're also not funny-bad like cage's other work so they're just boring
shouldn't this be in the anime section regardless, took them long enough to announce part 5
doesn't exactly work as a defence if you dont include it being a mister metokur video in the title
i would recommend giving it a rewatch, i rewatched it the day after i finished it in case you watched it while it was airing, the pacing definitely works way better if you marathon it (or at least watch in big chunks), it's paced more like one very long movie than an episodic ...
i dont want to turn this into a really long argument so i'm going to try (and fail spectacularily) to keep this short again, what you're asking for is a different show, made in abyss doesnt try to be and shouldnt have to be about as you get older you have to face some shit I...
i dont agree at all, one of my favorite things about the show is how riko's childlike innocence manages to survive in the harsh world of the abyss even after everything that happens in the last episode she's still a goofy kid who can find endless wonder in a harsh and dangerou...
they're both fantasy and have monsters and violence in them but that's about the only similarities, so no
a couple bits of inappropriate fanservice are far from enough to ruin what is otherwise a masterpiece made in abyss with teens/adults instead of kids would be a very different show, combining that sort of childlike wonder and adventure with a dark and unforgiving world is th...
if you watch the anime the fanservice is pretty minor and gets blown out of proportion, though it's much worse in the manga i absolutely recommend the anime, one of my favorites, great story, characters, atmosphere and some of the most emotional i've gotten from any media in a...
made in abyss
it's a mixed bag so far, releasing so many singles is an odd choice because of the songs leading into eachother and this kind of variety would work much better if it was a surprise this is a pretty weak track though, not really a fan of this one
as someone who has watched made in abyss twice but hasnt read the manga, the only sexual part i found to be weird and out of place was the smash cut joke of the "strung up naked" punishment all other nudity i remember felt appropriate considering the coming of age theme of the...
it's been at least a year since we last voted for the OP and yuru camp aint exactly over a year old
been relistening to the mars volta's discog recently, havent listened to them in years but i definitely missed out by not getting into Amputechture and Bedlam in Goliath earlier, now i love em https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVFS9nllaXY
arc system works is a game developer, mostly makes fighting games like guilty gear and dragon ball fighterz
this time hopefully with more CSI and less clown fights
gameplay looks fantastic, very optimistic glad to see hell prides back, the entire 7 hells army is easily some of the most fun standard enemies to fight in character action games, though the desaturated colors would make them harder to distinguish if they add more hells
i’m disappointed it’s focusing on nero again, i never liked his gameplay nearly as much as dante’s also not a fan of the big changes to the style but i’m hyped anyway, it’s been so long
can we take a moment to appreciate these lyrics in a slow car looking like a hedgehog sluts go sonic ownage
i've been watching the SBFP playthrough and detroit seemed promising at first, like it might be his first "okay" game but that twist yahtzee mentioned at the end just sucked all my optimism out
i didn't know that, to say he had a decent amount of input into the soundtrack as a whole is fair, but saying "David Bowie made the entire soundtrack" is very unfair to reeves it's really unfortunate when less famous people get ignored or downplayed when they work together wit...
david bowie only worked on a handful of tracks, most of the soundtrack was by reeves gabrels
i can definitely hear the japanese lyrics, the "this cannot continue" and "kono mama ja dame" chants have different rhythms because of their different lengths and the "ja" sound is clearly audible even with the low volume
in the latest episode of automata, some weird bug caused the japanese version of the "this cannot continue" song to play even though they're playing with the english voices shame woolie missed out on such a hype dynamic music thing because of that
fast anime has been slow anime since the discord started
jack seems to be loving it at least https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/221990905371033600/452585208391401473/a128497a73.png https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/221990905371033600/452585222282805248/0fefc7b685.png
finally got around to watching Made in Abyss great series, definitely deserves the praise it gets if you're like me and havent seen it yet, i definitely recommend it
kind of a weird comparison, automata is an RPG first and foremost and has completely different goals than DMC or MGR does that said, DMC3 > DMC4
stop spamming this story, you've already made 2 other threads in different sections for it
more progress on my game, now with style https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PA-BBEXLO0
that segue into Black Paint at the end makes its intro make way more sense https://clyp.it/0mwrsutp
i've waited for this moment since the game's release at first i was hoping it would be pat and woolie since pat had already finished the game, but considering how wrong he is about everything, liam was the better choice
in case anyone's wondering, this channel is a fake
nice to see black dynamite got a sequel seems like a fun movie
the only CG (as far as i've noticed) are the bears whenever they appear and a couple of shots of the wolf here and there i got used to the bears after the first episode and they're only there for a couple scenes so i'm loving the anime so far, i definitely recommend giving it ...
monogatari without the over the top silly fan service wouldn't be monogatari anymore, it's a part of what gives the show its unique tone that and the toothbrush scene in particular is pretty damn funny
less comedic than boku girl but fujiyama-san might be up your alley
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2I7f9OcgOXE video good, game interesting
reminds me of one of the more forgettable tracks on Bottomless Pit hoping this isn't representative of the full album, Steroids was a promising new direction so going back to the BP sound (which was already a bit of a call back) would be a mistake still a decent track, though
the monogatari series doesn't play out chronologically, even certain arcs from the same season here's a rough outline on the chronology (not the watch order) http://puu.sh/Ah3JZ/baa41ecad2.jpg
you can watch kizu and koyomi in whichever order (or kizu right after bake if you want to go with the novel release order for whatever reason), koyomi directly bridges into owari s2 but they were released around the same time so either's fine other than that you're good
the second one might be Ranma ½ and the last one is Dirty Pair, don't know about the other 2 though aw damn, ninja'd while i was checking to make sure
looks like urusei yatsura to me
Bonnouji is my personal favorite so i recommend that has a much more casual non-anime tone than usual, isn't afraid to talk about things like sex and the manga doesnt end when they get together
luluco pays homage to pretty much every trigger project before it so you're gonna miss out on a whole lot of references if you havent seen those before
walk-and-talks are annoying because they're almost never skippable like normal cutscenes are and the minimal control means i can't do anything but also can't just put my controller down and watch the cutscene play out it's a middle ground that has the worst of both sides
maybe Burning Circles In the Sky | The Myrrors https://f4.bcbits.com/img/a3815315623_10.jpg
castlevania: curse of darkness - one of those 3D castlevanias, it has very simple but satisfying beat em up combat with tons of content for completionists lost planet 2 - absolutely amazing with friends, there's so many fun set pieces binary domain - the dumbest, cheesiest, ...
when i have the ability to block in a hack and slash or character action game i will still always dodge even if the block is undeniably superior and safer
yoko taro mentioned in an interview with game informer that this might actually be the reason japanese games (like nier automata and the yakuza series) are having a resurgence in the west https://puu.sh/AdstI/82d4eb3672.png
i didn't say it wasn't unreasonable, i said it was understandable people tend to not like radical change
while i like the new kratos it's understandable when people get upset that a new entry into a series they like isn't what the series used to be not saying dad of war is bad by any means because it's not, but i definitely understand why people are upset about the sudden change ...
i haven't heard of the twitter rant but he seemed same as usual in this video they make fun of the game as always but none of it came off as actually critical or mean spirited or anything
dont really see much point in posting all the individual episodes seperately anyways
kill la kill is very good and i enjoyed it a lot, but TTGL is an absolute masterpiece something TTGL excels at is pacing and structure, and that ends up being kill la kill's biggest flaw, it really feels like they tried to stretch it out to get 2 full cours TTGL's "absurdity" ...
he thought Coco was decent in his review and he says in it (like he often does in pixar reviews) that his whole point is that they're good kids movies but nothing special or amazing beyond that his only complaints with Coco were it being very formulaic and cliche, he brings up...
i mean they themselves mention a lot of the same points in their own review, so it's not like the points themselves are bad
