[QUOTE=Melnek;50447561]it may seem like that to you because you mostly frequent those threads but overwatch isnt that big of a deal
it looks like just another mumbo jumbo fantasy lasers pew pew multiplayer game to anyone who is old enough to have seen titles like tf2 come and go in terms of their artistic values. overwatch brings nothing new to the table and isnt enough to captivate anyone outside of the proportionally small fanboy groups that gobble up copy pasted titles like these almost out of reflex and not because the game is actually good
its literally a trend that will die in a few months time, unless of course they decide to add microtransactions and extensive paid character customization, in which case itll become another instant classic among those very same fanboys

its usually not worth explaining anything to trendy fanboys but sorry im not up to your internet etiquette standards

You bought Battleborn didn't you?
as someone who was initially cynical of the game and hasn't bought an AAA title on release day in years overwatch has surpassed my expectations and earned my praise
i'm not gonna call it perfect but i can't say it's not a bundle of fun
I think the wider range of nationalities also gives OW an appeal over tf2, especially with the big Asian market.
Also these days people seem to have a taste for media with tons of characters, like mobas, or shows like the walking dead and GoT.
Another genius move from them is that the game is one big arena for characters from many different genres, so it has something for everyone. Not to mention how interesting it is to see them clash.
