How? I could see huge profits coming from this
And there's still the option for buying with 'gold' instead
I agree. People do it in Diablo 2 regardless, so this isn't really a bad thing.
-real money for items in the in-game shop: that's fucking retarded
TF2 has it, I don't see you complaining...

I hate TF2.
this is not surprising
Who cares?
I never used mods in Diablo II (nor should you its an instance based MMO), never played single player other than to screw around with trainers.
I've changed my mind about cash shops. Having outside power affect the game economy is wrong.

TotalBiscuit's views on all of this, for anyone interested.
Looks like Torchlight 2 is about to get a hell of a lot more popular.
-permanent internet connection: can be cracked and bypassed easily going by Assassins Creed II and all other games that have used it

1) nobody is going to a crack a game that they've paid for.
2) There's a difference between being unsupported and being against the ToS.
3) nevermind, this part is pretty terrible. Blizzard charges you three times during the auction. Once when you post an item, second, when you sell it and finally when you want to transfer the money to your paypal account.
Those money grubbing bastards!
Who cares, it's still going to be a good game.

I hate sites that charge you for putting up an auction. They should only charge you when it sells.
Ok the server browsing like Wacraft 3 being cut I can understand from SC2, this just makes no sense.
(At least HOTS is going to fix the Browser abit)
Ok what? You get charged 3 times when using the in-game auction house? You have to pay to even have your item listed? That's going too far for sure. I hope this hurts them more than it helps them.
Didn't you read the op? single player / online play is the same as it was in D2
I am aware of that, but I want an option to play offline. Without an internet connection.
I don't care if the character gets made into a "offline character".
You guys are overreacting. I'm guessing you all run on dial-up so that's why you are complaining about online only.
This is not an option for everyone. Even in the US a good (on global scale) internet connection can cost shitloads and nothing guarantees it's stable, and you won't even have the option of switching ISPs because they often have a monopoly in rural areas.
And why are you playing online only? It's not like Blizzard is giving a choice here.

Just like Dragon Rising, eh?

Hahaha, keep dreaming. Blizzard could release anything and people will buy it no matter what.
I have mixed feelings on this.
seems like it'll do more harm than help when it comes down to it.
I'll probably still get it, but I hope it doesn't become Pay 2 Win.
babies thinking that instantly, if you can buy items that are accessible from doing shit ingame anyways can be used by anyone to rush through the story from level 1
That is incorrect, Blizzard stated that there are level restrictions on armor so you can't wear the best armor at level 1.
I'll probably still get it, but I hope it doesn't become Pay 2 Win.
Diablo was already a "pay 2 win" game. The only difference now is that Blizzard is making it safer while basically taxing it.
