Seriously though what is that even? It's like someone decided to open up a hard drive and stick some generic circuitry above it for shits and giggles and then took the picture.
I'm dumb because I'm able to keep my computer secure and malware free without indundating windows with gigabytes upon gigabytes of half-broken updates that don't do me any good and which only contribute to bloating an already bloated as fuck OS? Riiiiiiight.
Came here to quote this incredibly stupid post
indundating
I'm not gonna debate it with you guys, because I know I'm going to lose. You're more than welcome to continue to bloat up your Windows folder with critical updates that keep it secure and run your 250GB to unlimited internet meters up on things that do absolutely fucking nothing but make Windows less vulnerable to malware and in a few cases substantially improve performance. Me? I'll just be laughing and enjoying Windows installs that actually work long enough for me to get on Facepunch and make dumbshit posts like this before I get hit with a random drive-by attack that deletes everything on my hard drive.
Fixed that for you.

(Yeah, it was people with the same mentality as you who got fucked over with the Blaster worm back in 2003...)
Control panel --> Windows Update --> Change Settings link in upper left --> Never Check For Updates --> Done. First thing I do when installing Windows, before it ever gets an internet connection for the first time, is nuke Windows Update. I recommend you do the same, you don't need all those pointless updates if you're remotely internet smart.
I do the same thing, but not because it is stupid to update. I just don't like it reminding me or updating when I don't want it to.
I've been running updateless since XP's heyday and I've never had any malware issues I couldn't directly backtrace to a derp download I made, and of those, last one was in...2005?
Why do you think you have to download shit to get malware? I hope you don't use Java, Flash or Adobe pdf viewer with that attitude against updates in general.

It just occurred to me to take a screenshot of this:
they clog up your internet
MY POOR INTERNETS. I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH OF THEM TO BE DOWNLOADING ALL THESE 364KB UPDATES.

Awesome. I miss the interface of six, in a way, but I can see that it needed to die. I'd use Chrome more often if it didn't crash so much.
