I agree with pretty much everyone in here talking about how the 360 controller is better, except it has one flaw that's bugged me since launch. The wireless ones don't use bluetooth. Even the Wii remote uses it. You need to buy a $25 dongle to use wireless 360 controllers on a PC, whereas Wii and PS3 controllers can sync up easily to any computer with a halfway decent bluetooth chip.
Bluetooth is fucking awful to begin with, and to make matters worse most stuff I read said bluetooth drivers for PS3 controllers are experimental and if you want to use them they'll ONLY work with PS3 controllers. Plus when I was setting up the drivers for PS3 controllers it BSOD'd my laptop about 4 times in a row. First time I've had a BSOD in about 7 years, the drivers must have been written with a blindfold on or something

Bluetooth isn't that bad, it's a much better technology for PAN than say, InfraRed, as it doesn't require line of sight to function, while still retaining a good range and decent speeds for the kinds of gadgets that get used in a PAN. Though the PS3 bluetooth drivers on PC used to be god awful, the current ones provided by MotionJoy are pretty good and are finally signed so you don't have to change how Windows boots any more. I don't think they replace the default Bluetooth stack anymore, but I never really used Bluetooth for transferring stuff between devices. How long ago was this BSoD?

I've never had a problem syncing a PS3 controller via Bluetooth through MotionJoy, or with Bluetooth in general. Granted, something better is a bit overdue, but it's never given me any problems with my phone, laptop, or tablet.
just use a wired xbox controller.
wireless controllers for pcs make no sense, almost everyone sits right in front of their computer.
I use my wired controller when I'm in my room, but when I'm playing something like Rayman Origins with my brother in the living room, I like being able to sit back on the couch.
