Malaria survival confirmed for Half Life 3.
Alyx must inject you.
crowbar rusts and breaks after three swings
half life 3 will be open world? well not on the source engine in its current state
crowbar rusts and breaks after three swings
Then take tendinitis medicine.
You must inject Alyx.
Fix'd.
Fix'd.
I didn't want it to be perverted :v:
I really want to visit the Valve lobby, even if I don't get a full tour. That place is so cool. I've never played any of the farcry games, but maybe Valve wants to make something open world? It won't be HL3 (you don't change the core gameplay of the last game. Just, no.) but I'd like to see what they want to do.

Though I doubt they're actually going to do that, at least not any time soon.
I'd love if Valve developed an open-world game. It would mean that they'd have to improve the Source engine to take even bigger maps.
Alyx must inject you.
I'd inject her [editline]12th July 2012[/editline]
Fix'd.
I was going to say you ninja'd me, but that would take the shine off my post.
I'd inject her
That's pretty gay, bro
That's pretty gay, bro
you know what gay means right
Valve games will now have endlessly respawning patrols and guard posts that make your life a living hell.
does that mean Half life 3 will be open world? Hmmmm..
If Alyx gets hurt badly enough you have to kill her despite being able to save her.
does that mean Half life 3 will be open world? Hmmmm..
Would never, ever work for the Half-Life franchise, and Valve knows this.
Pull out shrapnel and stuff when you're drowning in the water sections.
Suddenly Half-Life 2: Episode 3 gets announced and released within the year.
Will Half-Life 3 require you to do a bunch of side quests just to be able to explore further in the game?
I find it weird that news sites are reporting about this guy all over. I mean, game industry professionals are moving between jobs all the time, what makes this guy so special.
Would never, ever work for the Half-Life franchise, and Valve knows this.
You're right, but Valve has proven that they are interested in broadening their scope in terms of the games they make. I'm sure that if someone at Valve managed to convince everyone else that it would be a good move to make an open-world game, they would definitely change the engine to make it possible. And that would be really cool.

Half life 3 should not be open world, but Valve should take a crack at an Open World Game that could be in HL Universe or something.
Very doubtful Valve is planning or even capable of creating an engine to meet (and exceed as per usual) the standards of a "next-gen" shooter. They'll fix up the Source Engine some more because it'll save them money, but they'll make some real fun game that still shows that the engine doesn't make the game experience alone. Either way, don't expect some new awesome engine. They'll have a hard time competing with todays' gaming engines, unlike the old days. I mean, they could compete if they really did it right, but they've always been financially tight in the past and making a new engine seems too far sighted with how Valve has been acting the past few years.

TF2 makes tens of millions a month. They have shitloads of money.
